Job Summary:


The Data Analyst in Accounting plays a crucial role in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations within Allianz Direct in the context of insurance and reinsurance accounting. This position is strategically focused on leveraging data analytics to optimize accounting processes, improve financial reporting, and support decision-making. The role requires a good understanding of accounting principles, data analysis techniques, and the ability to collaborate across departments to drive continuous improvement in financial operations.

 

 


Key Responsibilities:

 


•    Maintenance of the technical processes aimed at running the financial closing for insurance and reinsurance accounting
•    Driving further automation and implement efficiency gains in the accounting area to make all processes scalable for new business initiatives, as well as extending the processes in case of M&A
•    Support in financial migration in M&A projects
•    Support in running financial closing activities for insurance and reinsurance accounting 

 


Qualifications/Key skills:

 


•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or related field.
•    At least 2 years of experience in accounting operations or data analysis
•    Extensive experience with SAP, SQL and Python
•    Good understanding of how insurance and reinsurance business works
•    Good understanding of accounting principles

 


Education & Experience: 

 


•    Good financial expertise with focus on accounting, with capability to develop and manage state of the art financial processes
•    Basic understanding of actuarial work will be a definite plus
•    Very sharp analytical and conceptual skills
•    Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with attention to detail
•    Team spirit, a demonstrably thorough working style and ability to work under pressure
