Some of your specific responsibilities could include: 

• Lead the annual update of the Liability Functional Rule, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, stakeholder input, and internal governance standards. 

• Coordinate with legal, compliance, and underwriting leadership to draft updates and manage the stakeholder consultation process. 

• Act as the central point of contact for communicating underwriting rule changes, compliance updates, and process improvements to the global underwriting community. 

• Manage Product Reviews (IDD, retail, and Large Corp), Business Reviews, ASU Reporting, and internal audit requirements. 

• Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and testing of underwriting tools (e.g., Cube), including user training, feedback gathering, and technical refinements. 

• Drive process simplification initiatives to enhance underwriting efficiency, including workflow optimization, change management, and benefits realization. 

• Partner with the Underwriting Integrity and Solutions team on governance initiatives, quality assurance, and underwriting standards projects. 

• Support underwriting audits, compliance reviews, and the development of best practices and guidelines. 

• Own and manage the Liability Connect page (our intranet), ensuring resources, tools, and updates are current, accessible, and engaging. 

• Organize and present content for internal reporting and contribute to Liability-specific projects and task forces.  

What You’ll Bring to the Role 

• Extensive underwriting experience in Liability, with a strong understanding of policy management, underwriting processes, and legal contracts. 

• A degree in Economics, Law, or a related discipline is preferred. 

• Proven ability to set functional rules, guidelines, and underwriting standards. 

• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and governance frameworks in underwriting. 

• Proficiency in managing cross-functional projects and driving process improvements in a global environment. 

• Strategic orientation with the ability to balance detail-oriented execution and big-picture thinking. 

• Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with the ability to translate complex concepts into actionable guidance. 

• Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and attention to detail. 

• Experience with underwriting tools and systems and the ability to support their implementation and optimization. 

• Experience in applying artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) to improve business processes and decision-making is highly beneficial. 

• A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively with diverse teams across functions and geographies.
