Job purpose/role

 

In your role you will develop and implement sustainable investment solutions as a member of the Investment Management Property & Casualty (IMPC) team at Allianz Investment Management (AIM).

You will contribute to manage and steer the EUR 16bn investment portfolio of Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS) which is one flagship carrier of Allianz's global property & casualty insurance business. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to drive functional topics and projects across several P&C portfolios.

In your position you will cooperate with the IMPC team, AGCS's Treasury & Risk teams, AIM expert teams and internal and external Asset Managers.

 


Key responsibilities

 

  • Develop and implement the strategic asset allocation based on our state-of-the-art asset-liability management (ALM) framework and key performance indicators of the business
  • Plan and steer investment results (IFRS and HGB)
  • Assume local expert responsibility for relevant asset classes, e.g. Fixed Income, Equity, Real Estate or Alternatives
  • Plan and steer liquidity needs and management of FX positions (e.g., with derivatives)
  • Ensure compliance of investment portfolios with Solvency II requirements, regulatory constraints and Sustainability/ESG standards
  • Analyze investment performance and regular reporting to AGCS's and AIM's top management
  • Improve investment processes with automation and simplification

 


Key requirements/skills/ experience

 

  • Excellent university master's degree in finance, economics or similar
  • 1 or more years of experience in the finance / investment area (i.e. internships)
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Solvency II frameworks
  • Team player, solution-oriented approach, with excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Convincing communication and presentation skills
  • Proficiency in both English and German
  • Programming skills (e.g. Python) are beneficial
