Who will you join?

 

Allianz Re Organizational Management (OM) within H4 Allianz SE Solo Operations, IT and Organization is the team responsible for Allianz Re's change activities. As a Business Analyst within Allianz Re’s Organizational Business Transformation (OBT) team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering strategic change. You will act as a trusted advisor and liaison between business stakeholders and IT, ensuring that complex requirements are translated into effective, value-adding solutions. 

The Business Analyst role is a multi-faceted position primarily responsible for working on major projects of high complexity, performing proper collection and documentation of requirements as well as all other standard business analysis tasks. The role requires credibility and confidence interacting with senior management, business unit personnel and internal as well as external IT Application Development teams across the full lifecycle of the projects. Key business stakeholders will be situated all along the value chain, mostly UW, Pricing Actuaries or NatCat teams, and related project organizations mostly in Munich. 

 

 

How can you make an impact?


Act as Business Analyst on Allianz Re and Group projects with current focus on further developing our core Underwriting system Global Reinsurance Platform (GRIP), especially integration of Loss Modeling tools into the system. 

You will:    

  • Structure complex requirements into a coherent framework (e.g. experience in demand / backlog management) 
  • Manage the requirement pipeline before hand-over to development teams 
  • Execute as-is analysis, root cause determination, solution development and implementation / monitoring in close collaboration with business functions, mainly Client Managers, Underwriters, NatCat Analysts and Pricing Actuaries  
  • Serve as a key liaison between business and technical stakeholders 
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define scope and priorities for business; drive business engagement and relationships to understand key business objectives and processes to support analysis and business solution definition 
  • Act as contact person towards IT to define technical requirements and solve technical questions to support business processes 
  • Take responsibility for coordination and consistent on-time delivery     

 

 

What are you made of?

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Senior colleague with minimum 5-8 years experience as Subject Matter Expert or Business Analyst 
  • Very strong IT Project experience, both in agile and waterfall environments, with being the interface between business and developers 
  • Very strong analytical skills (e.g. understand business and technical dependencies of a topic quickly) 
  • Strong communication and moderation skills (e.g. experience in conflict moderation and/or presentation of software to stakeholders) 
  • Proven Project Management skills 
  • Creativity & salesmanship (e.g. after understanding dependencies, find a solution and convince stakeholders) 
  • High degree of proactivity to see and solve issues without supervisors constantly steering     
  • Programming Skills (especially Java) mandatory, JIRA experience is a plus 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong Background in software development joined with strong affinity to financial business cases 
  • Deep Business knowledge about Underwriting, Actuarial Tools and processes in Reinsurance 
  • Business Administration Degree or similar 
  • Fluent in English, even in complex matters (other languages welcome)     
  • Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus 
  • Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI and Ethical AI solutions
