Who will you join?
You will be joining Allianz’s esteemed Group Compliance Team, a global leader in financial services with a steadfast commitment to integrity, transparency, and regulatory excellence. This team is instrumental in ensuring Allianz maintains a strong compliance posture, adhering to regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions while fostering a culture of ethical business practices.
Group Customer Protection team within the Group Compliance function is the gatekeeper of the customers’ interests by promoting transparency, simplicity and fairness throughout the customer journey, while ensuring the right Culture, business practices and tone at the top is well spread out across the Group. Its role is to ensure that customers are well informed and that their needs are well taken into account in any circumstances. As an oversight function, the Group Customer Protection team is in charge of developing common practices and ensuring consistency across the Group.
How can you make an impact?
In this role, you are reporting to the Group Head of Customer Protection you will work on a key strategic topic to shape and strengthen the Group Customer Protection framework.
You Will:
- Connect the Group Compliance strategies and objectives with the Group Customer Protection framework
- Support the effective roll-out of the Group Customer Protection framework and initiatives across the Group, with entities in multiple locations
- Contribute to the Retail Risk Framework/Value for Money analysis in coordination with various group functions such as Risk, Actuarial and Finance and the first lines
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, guidance, advisories, documentation and trainings
- Contribute to the coordination and preparation of the Group Customer Protection governance and related communication
- Contribute and provide/conduct workshops with entities and Group stakeholders
- Provide inputs to monitor and test entities’ Customer Protection framework and priorities, dashboards and follow-up their main action plans
- Be attentive to the regulatory developments on Conduct in the EU and outside Europe and participate to the impact assessment
- Work closely with the other Compliance teams at Group and local levels and interact with many other Group and local functions such as Underwriting/Product, Risk Management, Public Affairs, Customer Officers and Communities, Legal, Distribution and local business teams, etc.
- Provide advice and guidance to relevant entities in the areas of Customer Protection
- Represent Group Compliance in internal/external focus groups and other matters related to Customer Protection, Retail Risk other matters related
- Participate to the Group retail product review
- Interact with regulators as necessary to clarify requirements and ensure compliance with obligations from a Group perspective
- Provide relevant input for Board of Management reporting, annual company reports and other regulatory reporting
What are you made of?
Minimum Qualifications
- Working ability in English is required, other languages are an advantage
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Laws (LL.B), Business Administration, Economics, Compliance, Risk management, Actuarial or a related field
- At least 5+ years of relevant job experience
- Experience working in Compliance, other control and governance functions or relevant business functions
- Work experience must include conduct and customer protection topics, experience related to the Insurance Distribution Directive and Consumer Duty
- Willingness to work across time zones and travel abroad
- Project management experience is required, including related to the preparation of clear project presentations
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven track record in leading and managing complex compliance programs on a global scale
- Experience in implementing compliance frameworks, risk management strategies, and regulatory initiatives across multiple departments
- Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
- Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solutions
