Who will you join?

 

You will be joining Allianz’s esteemed Group Compliance Team, a global leader in financial services with a steadfast commitment to integrity, transparency, and regulatory excellence. This team is instrumental in ensuring Allianz maintains a strong compliance posture, adhering to regulatory standards across multiple jurisdictions while fostering a culture of ethical business practices.


Group Customer Protection team within the Group Compliance function is the gatekeeper of the customers’ interests by promoting transparency, simplicity and fairness throughout the customer journey, while ensuring the right Culture, business practices and tone at the top is well spread out across the Group. Its role is to ensure that customers are well informed and that their needs are well taken into account in any circumstances. As an oversight function, the Group  Customer Protection team is in charge of developing common practices and ensuring consistency across the Group.

 

 

How can you make an impact? 

 

In this role, you are reporting to the Group Head of Customer Protection Officer, you will work on a key strategic topic to shape and strengthen the Group Customer Protection framework. You will work with a high degree of autonomy, taking responsibility for defined priorities and supporting the unit head in advancing strategic and operational initiatives.

 

You Will:

  • Connect the Group Compliance strategies and objectives with the Group Customer Protection framework
  • Support the effective roll-out of the Group Customer Protection framework and initiatives across the Group, spanning entities in multiple locations
  • Contribute to the regularly review the Customer Protection Standard and its maturity against evolving regulatory requirements, including outcoming driven approaches and the impact of technological developments in the first and second line 
  • Contribute to the Retail Risk Framework/Value for Money analysis in coordination with various group functions  and perform the Group retail product review annually 
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies, guidance, advisories, documentation and trainings and conduct workshops and trainings with entities and Group stakeholders 
  • Provide inputs to monitor and test entities’ Customer Protection framework and priorities, dashboards and follow-up their main action plans, including development and maintenance of control catalogues and Management Information 
  • Work closely with the other Compliance teams at Group and local levels and manage stakeholders from various functions and entities 
  • Represent Group Compliance in internal/external focus groups and other matters related to Customer Protection, Retail Risk other matters related and manage assigned Relationship Management activities 
  • Interact with regulators as necessary to clarify requirements and ensure compliance with obligations from a Group perspective
  • Provide relevant input to Board of Management reporting, annual company reports and other regulatory reporting and conduct senior management presentations
  • Provide advice and guidance to relevant entities in the areas of Customer Protection

 

 

What are you made of?

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Working ability in English is required, other languages are an advantage
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Laws (LL.B), Compliance, Risk management, Business, Actuarial or a related field
  • At least 5/7+ years of relevant job experience 
  • Experience working in Compliance or other second line functions in a global environment with a solid background in insurance or financial services compliance with demonstrable focus on conduct risk, customer protection related regulation
  • Ability to engage meaningfully on AI-related models and governance topics, not as technologist but as compliance expert 
  • Client service mentality and problem-solution mindset, comfortable in interactions with various seniority levels.
  • Willingness to work across time zones and travel abroad

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in leading and managing complex compliance programs on a global scale
  • Experience in implementing compliance frameworks, risk management strategies, and regulatory initiatives across multiple departments   
  • Experience working across multiple jurisdictions or business lines; comfortable navigating a matrix organization with Group and local stakeholders  
  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
  • Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solutions
