Multiple crisis situations and a continued growth of the threat landscape are challenges to the operational resilience of Allianz Group; the assessment and management of threats are crucial topics we focus on, when aiming at making Allianz a safer place.
 
The Group Protection & Resilience team is committed to ensuring that Allianz Group is able to withstand and recover from disruptions to its business operations. For our team based in the headquarters in Munich, Germany, we are looking for a Senior Expert for Risk and Data Management, who has a profound background across multiple digital resilience domains and with the capability to interconnect the domains and initiate a permanent cycle of crisis readiness, responses and post-crisis work, also by utilizing the risk and control implementation and data management. How can you make an impact?

 

The Protection & Resilience function is the global owner of the processes that co-ordinate the end-to-end incident and crisis readiness across several subject matter expert functions. The Senior Expert for Risk and Data Management will drive the interconnect of all functions with permanent iterations, risk and control activities and thorough data management. 

You will:

  • Ensure crisis readiness and business contingency via the establishment of a comprehensive oversight and interconnect of all relevant data, like threat intelligence information connected with asset data and related response plans
  • Support the co-ordination of the governance bodies that oversee globally major incidents and manage a Group-wide crisis with involvement of the senior management (Group Hybrid Fusion Center and Group Crisis Unit)
  • Establish a permanent cycle of anticipation of threats, identification of critical assets and its end-to-end dependencies, in-time support to incident response and learning form post-crisis/incident activities
  • Utilize available data pools and extend where necessary to establish an end-to-end interconnect of data points where necessary, to prepare for any kind of security operation, incident (IT and non-IT), risk mitigation or recovery situation
  • Establish a risk and control system for all P&R domains, which is setting the triggers for a threat-based effectiveness testing and has a strong integration and timely information exchange with the NFRM of the 2nd LoD
  • Monitor major incidents and provide cross-functional assessments including expertise of all relevant stakeholders and act as the focal point of incident coordination on Group level, ensuring a globally unified approach and regulatory compliance of incidents
  • Perform systematic monitoring of the maturity of Allianz entities in their crisis readiness and anticipation of threat based risk and control measures, also by leading and executing on-site and remote reviews
  • Collaborate with other Group centres, especially all other safeguarding functions, local Allianz entities, Allianz Services and Allianz Technology

 

 

What are you made of?


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of operational/consulting experience in the operational resilience and security area, i.e. Crisis Management, IT and Cyber Incident Management, Business Continuity Management
  • At least seven years of hands-on experience in managing response measures and incident solutions
  • Understanding of the business based on practical experience in the core of the financial services operations
  • Graduate in Economics, Business, Legal, IT, Risk management or Finance or a comparable education
  • Knowledge of relevant internationals standards, certifications are welcome
  • Ability to build strong working relationships in virtual, international and complex team environments
  • Strong teamwork ethic, solid interpersonal and listening skills, analytical skills, ability to apply independent judgement, strive for win-win situations
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills and ability to convey complex information to different stakeholder groups
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines with high agility and adaptability
  • Reliable, highly committed, precise working combined with analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong communicator who is comfortable presenting and facilitating trainings in front of an audience
  • Ability to work self-responsible and autonomously, also at times of high pressure
  • Fluent English skills (written and spoken) are mandatory
  • Willingness to participate in the incident monitoring process, also beyond the usual working hours

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in business related functions (i.e. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
  • Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solutions
