Senior Investment Strategist (m/f/d) - Global Rates, Macro & FX

Job purpose / role

The Group Investment Strategy function designs and implements global investment strategies for insurance portfolios in collaboration with Allianz’ local investment managers. Working closely with the global Allianz Investment Management network, Group Economic Research, and asset managers, the strategy is tailored to the specific needs of each portfolio. In this role, you will report to the Global Head of Rates & Emerging Markets, conduct research, and develop strategies to drive sustainable performance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop investment strategies aimed at optimizing risk-adjusted returns, accounting and risk KPIs
• Present investment solutions to internal stakeholders and support their implementation
• Manage investment-related processes, support local investment functions, and provide market and portfolio information to internal stakeholders
• Conduct economic research and capital market analysis with a focus on rates and FX markets, identifying regime shifts, trends, opportunities and risks
• Perform quantitative cross-asset and cross-currency research integrated with the Allianz economic outlook
• Support the implementation of AI solutions and data-driven analytics 

Key requirements/skills/experience

• 10 years+ of experience in investment and/or asset management
• Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Finance, or similar area
• Excellent quantitative skills, analytical creativity, and strong proficiency in tools such as MS Office, Bloomberg, Refinitv, Python, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
• Fast learner with an independent working style, combining advanced analytical skills, curiosity, and a critical mindset
