Job purpose/role
Our group investment strategy function designs and implements the investment strategy for insurance portfolios worldwide and jointly with Allianz' local managers. We work with colleagues within the global network of Allianz Investment Management and our internal and external asset managers in developing our group investment strategy and tailoring it to specific needs of portfolios. You will report to the Head of Credit & Equities and lead the development of our team's research and investment framework in the financial sector and securitized debt for sustainable performance and value creation for Allianz, clients and partners.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive analysis of credit markets, with a focus on banks and securitized assets, to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Perform such research on asset and cross-asset basis and underpinned by quantitative analysis and integrated with Allianz macro outlook.
- Develop and implement credit investment strategies aimed at optimizing risk-adjusted returns for portfolios containing banking and securitized assets.
- Provide applicable investment recommendations for investment committees, internal stakeholders and external communication.
- Evaluate credit risk and investment profiles and structures on single investments, ensuring agreement on company risk tolerance and KPI requirements.
Key requirements/skills/experience
- 5-10 years of investment experience in Financials Sector and/ or securitized debt
- Excellent analytical skills and toolkit (MS Office, Bloomberg, Refinitv, Eviews, Python, AI/ML)
- Ability to work independently, yet also collaborate with different teams and partners to achieve common goals
- Fast learner, combining advanced analytical skills supported by curiosity and a critical mind
- Strong communication skills
