Who will you join?

 

Group Tax International Tax Planning and Investments is responsible for:

  • Ensuring Tax Governance of foreign operations (Insurance / asset management); including setting, ensuring implementation and continuously evolving minimum tax standards and governance frameworks across the Group
  • Driving tax planning and value optimization initiatives, aligned with Group financial objectives and capital efficiency
  • Managing from tax perspective M&A activities (internal and external) for the entire tax spectrum (Direct Taxes (current and deferred taxes), Indirect Taxes, Transfer Pricing, Global Minimum Taxes, International Taxes, CFC,...)
            

 


How can you make an impact?


A. Leadership of Transactions and Structuring:

  • Lead and own the tax agenda for international decisions across Allianz entities, ensuring tax considerations are embedded at the core of strategic decision-making
  • Drive the tax structuring, coordination, and execution of acquisitions, divestments, and restructurings in complex international environment (incl. ensuring alignment with Group Tax strategy and governance standards)
  • Take end-to-end ownership of tax workstreams in transactions, orchestrating collaboration with local tax functions, asset managers, and external advisors
  • Act as a key contributor to Group approval processes, providing clear, decision-oriented tax recommendations to senior stakeholders and committees

 

B. Tax Planning and Governance: 

  • Design, drive, and implement tax planning and restructuring initiatives to optimize effective tax rate (ETR) and cash tax outcomes for Allianz. This includes current and deferred taxes as well as impact on Global Minimum taxation
  • Proactively identify and execute value creation opportunities, including safeguarding and optimization of tax attributes and capital-efficient structuring
  • Anticipate and respond to global tax developments, ensuring timely adaptation of investment strategies and structures to maintain competitiveness and compliance
  • Ensure countries/local tax functions under responsibility are properly governed and follow Allianz Standard of Tax Management and overall Allianz Tax Strategy

 

C. Risk Management:   

  • Own the identification, assessment, and mitigation of tax risks in relation to complex international, cross-border matters
  • Support tax audits, controversy management, ensuring consistent and robust representation of Group positions    

 

 

What are you made of?


Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in business administration / economics, taxation or law 
  • Certified tax advisor
  • Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
  • Knowledge in SAP R3 / S4 Hana and MS Office        


Preferred Qualifications

  • Expert knowledge in Corporate Income Taxes, ideally with specific focus on international taxes with dedicated Global Minimum Tax and German CFC relevant experiences
  • 5+ years prior experience as tax advisor or inhouse tax manager
  • Project management
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Experience with AI solutions and automatization of tax processes
  • Highly motivated team player taking ownership, driving initiatives end-to-end, and consistently delivering results with a strong sense of accountability        
  • Previous experience in insurance or asset management business functions, consulting, digital / tech is a plus
  • Experience applying ChatGPT, Generative AI, and Ethical AI solution
