Let’s care for tomorrow.
Your ambitions. Your dreams. Your tomorrow
Whether it’s aircraft, international business or offshore wind parks, Allianz Commercial has an extensive range of risks covered when it comes to protecting businesses.
We are looking for a Working Student – Resilience Insights & Strategy to join our Allianz Risk Consulting team in Munich, Germany.
Your Team
You will join the Allianz Risk Consulting (ARC) team, a specialist team that helps global corporate clients understand and manage complex risks. We combine expert advice, data-driven insights, and practical services across climate adaptation, extreme heat, supply chain resilience, operational resilience, and emerging risks. The team works closely with risk engineering, underwriting, and claims colleagues to turn technical knowledge into solutions that clients can apply.
This is an opportunity to help shape and scale resilience services for multinational companies. From day one, you will contribute to client projects, innovation initiatives, and real-world implementation, with exposure to senior leaders, risk experts, and global clients.
The Impact You Will Have
As a Working Student in Resilience Insights & Strategy, you will help develop, test, and commercialise resilience services. You will translate technical findings and client needs into clear propositions, briefing packs, pilot outputs, and decision-ready materials. Your work will support client engagement, shape service development, and help scale solutions across industries and markets.
Responsibilities
- Develop initial proactive client-specific resilience insights using industry data and internal risk knowledge to demonstrate value early in client conversations.
- Create tailored briefing packs for target clients and prospects to support engagement planning and proposal development.
- Turn technical findings into clear and accessible client-facing materials, such as benchmark one-pagers, proposal packs, pilot reports, and service deliverables.
- Support preparation for client meetings across ARC Services, including helping with structured client interviews and capturing key learnings.
- Analyse client feedback, use cases, and recurring challenges to identify improvements to existing services and opportunities for new resilience solutions.
- Identify opportunities to standardise and automate recurring materials to improve efficiency and make services easier to scale.
- You will continuously refine templates and methodologies based on client feedback and commercial outcomes.
- You will support the creation of service factsheets, sales enablement materials, and reusable templates that help the team scale its client services.
- Contribute to thought leadership, client pilots, and strategic partnerships focused on climate adaptation, supply chain resilience, and other priority resilience topics.
What You’ll Bring
Nice to have: Research, thesis, publication, or internship experience in resilience, climate adaptation, natural hazards, supply chains, consulting, risk management, or insurance.
- You are currently enrolled in a Master’s programme or PhD in business, engineering, risk management, climate science, natural hazards, supply chains, sustainability, or a related field. Enrollment is required for the full duration of the role.
- You enjoy working with information, solving problems, and turning complex topics into clear, practical outputs.
- You can explain technical topics in a clear and engaging way for different audiences, including senior client stakeholders.
- You are curious about commercial topics and interested in how consulting and resilience services can be developed, improved, and scaled.
- You communicate clearly in English and feel comfortable creating professional materials for clients and internal stakeholders.
- You demonstrate a structured and reliable way of working, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deliver results on time.
- You are open to using digital and AI tools to support daily tasks, improve efficiency, and create better client outputs.
- You are interested in risk, insurance, resilience, and client-facing services in an international business environment.
Further Information
- Duration: at least 6 months (preferably longer).
- Working hours: 20 hours/week or 38 hours/week.
- Enrollment at a university or college is a prerequisite for the duration of employment.
