Job description
The Business Analytics team is responsible for global management reporting and forecasting at Allianz Direct, providing key stakeholders with the right information and insights to steer the company.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Working Student who shares our passion for data and insurance, with a hands-on mindset and a drive to make a real impact. As a Working Student in Data Analytics (m/f/d) with a focus on Power BI, you will support our team in developing and maintaining scalable dashboards and reports, while also contributing to analytical deep-dives that enable data-driven decision making across the organization.

Key responsibilities
• Support the development, maintenance, and improvement of Power BI dashboards and reports for global management reporting and forecasting.
• Conduct analytical deep-dives to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights across key business areas such as portfolio, claims, and financial performance.
• Assist in preparing and automating regular management reports and KPI tracking, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
• Perform data preparation, transformation, and validation tasks using SQL and Power Query to support reliable reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with data analysts and data engineers to ensure data quality and availability in our reporting environment.
• Translate business questions into structured analyses and present findings clearly to stakeholders.
• Contribute to documentation of data models, analytical methodologies, and report logic.
• Actively participate in team meetings, sprint reviews, and workshops, contributing your ideas and learnings.
Qualifications / Key skills
• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field of study.
• First practical experience or strong academic interest in data visualization and business intelligence, ideally with Power BI.
• Foundational knowledge of SQL for data querying and transformation.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Power Query is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and a structured way of working.
• Proactive team player with strong communication skills, comfortable working in an international environment.
• Fluent in Business English; German is a plus.

• Location: Munich (Hybrid)
• Employment type: Working Student (Werkstudent), part-time
• Hours per week: 15–20 hours during semester; full-time possible during semester breaks
• Start date: ASAP
• Duration: Minimum 6 months, with possibility of extension
