Your Team:
We are looking for a Working Student to join our Global Operational Resilience team for a one-year contract, that could be extended.
You will be based in our Munich Unterföhring offices and work closely with your small worldwide team and two global Product Owners to turn security and resilience concepts into practical actions—we build awareness, support incident response, and drive clear reporting that leaders can act on.
The Impact You Will Have:
Reporting into the Head of Global Operational Resilience at Allianz Commercial (AGCS), you will have a significant impact on safeguarding our business processes, IT assets, employees, and physical locations, helping to shape a stronger, safer organization. Here is what you can expect to achieve:

-
Broad security exposure: get hands-on experience on modern cyber and non-cyber security practices
-
End-to-end ownership: lead mini-projects (e.g. an awareness campaign or a reporting workflow) from design to delivery, with coaching
-
Mentorship and learning: work with experienced experts in Information Security and Resilience; receive regular feedback and access to training and learning platforms
-
Career signal: Build a profile which primes you for roles in security, resilience, risk, and technology operations at Allianz or in the market
After 6 months, you can expect to have
-
Designed and delivered at least one awareness session and measured its impact
-
Contributed to an incident/crisis exercise and improved a playbook or process
-
Set up or enhanced a reporting view/dashboard that leadership uses
-
Curated and published guidance on the intranet knowledge base
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Awareness and culture
-
Design and deliver engaging awareness sessions on cyber and noncyber security topics
-
Create campaigns, guides, and short trainings; measure reach and effectiveness and bring improvements
Threat, incident, and resilience operations
-
Support security monitoring and global incident/emergency response processes
-
Maintain and improve emergency response documentation and playbooks; help run crisis exercises
-
Contribute to threat assessments (e.g. for Executive protection) and briefings for business travellers
Risk, compliance, and reporting
-
Help build and refine frameworks, execute defence actions, and assess compliance with policies and standards
-
Support external fraud management activities
-
Set up and maintain a clear reporting system and dashboards; prepare concise reports for stakeholders
Knowledge and enablement
-
Administer and curate a security knowledge base; keep global intranet pages up to date and easy to use
-
Capture lessons learned and translate them into practical guidance for teams
What You'll Bring to the Role:
You are in advanced education in Munich (Masters or Bachelors) with studies in the areas of technology and/or business. You are looking for a 20-hours-a-week contract in a dynamic, international business where you can learn and practice as well as build lasting value.
You bring:
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Good interpersonal skills and a joy for working in a team
-
Fluency in English; German is advantageous
-
Excellent command of common MS Office programs
-
Interest in advancing existing and developing new skills in Protective Security Management (PSM), Incident Coordination (IC), and Emergency Response Management (ERM) and Information Security (IS)
