What you do
As Working Student Product Strategy & Innovation you will work in our newly founded Specialty Line of Business which covers a wide range of product distributed around the world. Besides offering vehicle warranty and related products, we aim to protect our customers’ digital lives by providing insurance for their mobile devices and other appliances as well as by offering comprehensive protection and support around cyber care. Additionally, we support the end-customer when they need it the most: Through domestic care, nursing at home, teleconsultation, psychological assistance after a hospitalization, immobilisation or accident, funeral assistance after the loss of a relative or prevention and wellbeing services.
Within the Product Strategy & Innovation function, we aim to develop, refine, and enhance the product strategy, roadmap, and experience across various markets. This enables us to identify successful products, standardize essential solutions, and streamline our product portfolio. We are the architects of our future product landscape, transforming insights and strategies into scalable, impactful offerings.
As a Working Student (m/f/d) in Product Strategy & Innovation – Specialty Line of Business, you will be an integral part of a multicultural, high-performing team that drives the success of the Line of Business. You will collaborate closely with colleagues from the Product Strategy & Innovation team globally and have the opportunity to lead your own projects. This role will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of our business while enhancing your interpersonal and technical skills.
To ensure you contribute effectively to tasks that are crucial to our daily operations, we seek a candidate available for 15-20 hours per week, including at least one day at our modern office located in Munich.
Main responsibilities:
- Conducting research and benchmarking on market trends, competitors, and customer needs to support our product strategy.
- Assisting in portfolio and lifecycle management by maintaining product catalogues and supporting the decommissioning of outdated offers.
- Preparing presentations, reports, and materials for product roadmaps, workshops, and management meetings.
- Supporting go-to-market readiness through the creation of training materials, FAQs, and product documentation.
- Assisting in cross-market product harmonization by collecting input from regions and documenting differences and synergies.
- Supporting innovation initiatives (e.g., IoT, embedded insurance, digital-only solutions) through market research and structured summaries.
- Coordinating with stakeholders (e.g., Underwriting, Market Management, Sustainability) by preparing meeting notes, overviews, and action items.
What you bring
- In the course of studies in the fields of economics, marketing, management (min. end of your Bachelor’s degree)
- Very good knowledge of English German would be a plus
- Very good knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Initial exposure to insurance, assistance, financial services or consulting would be a plus
- Willingness to engage in an international and fast-paced environment on a daily basis
- Creativity, resourcefulness and openness to challenges
- Ability to communicate appropriately with various stakeholders and articulate ideas precisely
- Capability to independently manage daily work and quickly adapt to tasks
- Availability for 15-20 hours/week, with at least one day per week in the office; start date: asap
- Drive innovation and create new business opportunities by utilizing Generative AI and Emerging Technologies
- Optimize data flow and storage across systems through effective Data Management
- Competence in/curiosity for Conversational AI technologies to enhance user experience and automate customer service
