Job Purpose/Role
The Brand & Communications Manager is responsible for building, protecting, and amplifying the company’s brand across all touchpoints. This role oversees both external and internal communications, ensuring that customers, employees, and stakeholders experience a coherent, compelling, and consistent brand story. Operating in a fast paced environment, the Brand & Communications Manager plays a critical role in shaping reputation, driving engagement, and supporting business growth within the insurance sector.
Key Responsibilities
1. Brand Strategy & Governance
• Develop, maintain, and evolve the overall brand strategy in line with the company’s purpose, values, and business objectives.
• Manage and update brand identity guidelines, ensuring consistent application across all channels and markets.
• Conduct regular competitive and market analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation within the insurance industry.
• Oversee creative direction across campaigns, content, and corporate materials.
2. External Communications
• Lead the planning and execution of external communication activities, including PR, brand campaigns, digital communication, sponsorships, partnerships, and social media.
• Manage relationships with agencies (creative, PR, media, digital) and external partners.
• Oversee development of press releases, spokesperson briefings, speeches, and corporate statements.
• Monitor brand reputation, sentiment, and awareness, translating insights into actionable improvements.
• Ensure alignment of communication messages with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
3. Internal Communications
• Design and deliver the internal communication strategy to foster engagement, clarity, and cultural alignment.
• Work closely with People & Culture and leadership teams to communicate strategic initiatives, organizational changes, and company news.
• Develop content for key internal channels (intranet, newsletters, leadership messages, events, town halls).
• Support the promotion of the Employee Value Proposition (EVP) and employer branding initiatives.
• Ensure a consistent internal narrative that supports company culture and strengthens employees’ connection to the brand.
4. Crisis & Reputation Management
• Contribute to the development and execution of communication plans during crises or sensitive situations.
• Coordinate timely messaging with internal leaders, legal, customer operations, and external stakeholders.
• Act as a key guardian of corporate reputation, ensuring transparency and alignment in critical communications.
5. Project & Budget Management
• Plan, manage, and deliver communication and branding projects end-to-end.
• Oversee budget planning, allocation, and reporting to ensure efficiency and impact.
• Define KPIs, measure campaign and communication performance, and present insights and recommendations to senior management.
6. Next-Gen Digital Positioning:
Beyond traditional SEO, you will pioneer our presence in the new digital frontier. You will oversee strategies for GEO (Generative Engine Optimization), ensuring Allianz Direct remains authoritative and visible within LLM-driven searches and Social SEO.
Requirements
Education
• Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Advertising, or a related field.
• Additional certifications in brand strategy, digital communication, or corporate communications are an asset.
Experience
• 5+ years of experience in brand management, corporate communications, or marketing, ideally within insurance, financial services, or other regulated sectors.
• Proven track record managing integrated communication activities across internal and external channels.
• Experience working with cross functional teams and external agencies.
• Experience in internal communications, change communication, and employee engagement is highly valued.

• Ability to build relationships and influence across all levels of the organization.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
