Key responsibilities:
- Strengthen Allianz Direct's resilience by establishing and maintaining robust business continuity frameworks that safeguard critical operations against disruptions.
- Foster a proactive culture of risk awareness and preparedness, ensuring the organization is equipped to recover from potential threats to critical assets.
- Serve as a strategic partner across departments to embed continuity practices into the organization's core processes and strategic initiatives.
Product Strategy and Development:
- Conduct regular risk assessments and business impact analyses to identify critical processes and dependencies in accordance with international standards (e.g., ISO 22301) and regulatory requirements (e.g., DORA).
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive business continuity plans and recovery procedures.
- Coordinate and lead business continuity testing and exercises to evaluate the effectiveness of plans and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of business continuity strategies with organizational goals.
- Monitor and report on the status of business continuity initiatives, providing recommendations for enhancements as needed.
- Understand and develop contingency strategies for critical third-party vendors, including technical solutions such as data redundancy and multi-vendor strategies.
- Provide training and awareness programs to employees, ensuring understanding and engagement in business continuity practices.
- Stay informed of industry best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory requirements related to business continuity management.
Qualifications/Key skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Risk Management, Information Technology, or a science-related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business continuity management and risk management.
- Strong understanding of industry standards and best practices related to business continuity management.
- Experience in developing contingency strategies for third-party vendors, including technical solutions.
- Solid knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure, with the ability to assess their impact on business continuity planning.
- Experience in working in an international and highly regulated environment, ideally within the financial services sector.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Proficiency in professional business communication in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments, stakeholders of different seniority, and with external partners.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment and manage changes with a positive attitude, including actively proposing improvements.
- Professional certification in Business Continuity Management (e.g., ISO 22301, CBCP, MBCI) is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using business continuity planning software and tools is a plus.
