About the role


At Allianz Direct, we are on our mission to become ‘digitally unbeatable’. As Junior Communications Specialist, you will take an active role in planning, creation, and delivery of internal communications that keep employees informed, engaged, and aligned with our strategy and culture. You will also support internal events and engagement initiatives such as town halls, leadership meetings, and employee recognition activities while working closely with our international Communications team, present across five countries. 


This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who enjoys storytelling, collaboration and learning in an international and fast moving environment.

What you’ll do

 

Internal communication & Engagement

  • Coordinate internal communication initiatives that strengthen engagement, culture, and alignment across the organization.
  • Own and upkeep our Intranet channel by scouting topics, writing news posts and keeping the content up to date.
  • Create and adapt content for a variety of internal channels (e.g. newsletters, email updates, presentations).
  • Partner with People & Culture and other internal teams on internal campaigns and key messages.
  • Ensure internal messages are clear, consistent, and engaging for different employee audiences.
  • Maintain editorial calendars and ensure timely delivery of communications.
  • Track impact and effectiveness of communication activities and suggest improvements.

 

Event & Initiatives

 

  • Play an active role in planning, coordination, and communication of internal events such as town halls, leadership meetings, and employee briefings.
  • Preparation of agendas, presentations, talking points, and follow-up communications.
  • Support employee recognition and engagement initiatives, including internal campaigns and celebrations.
  • Coordinate logistics in collaboration with relevant teams (e.g. HR, Office Management, IT), including invitations, materials, and feedback collection.

 

Corporate & Brand Communication in Spain

 

  • Support the planning and execution of Allianz Direct’s local communications activities in Spain, fully aligned with global guidelines.
  • Help ensure a consistent tone of voice and brand narrative across all communication touchpoints.
  • Contribute to communication campaigns linked to launches, company initiatives, and strategic projects.
  • Working with our international team
  • Collaborate closely with Communications colleagues across countries to ensure alignment and consistency.
  • Adapt regional and international content to fit the Spanish market and local audience.
  • Share insights, learnings and best practices with peers across countries.
  • Manage the local rollout of cluster wide and global initiatives.

 

 

What you bring

 

Background & experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
  • Around 1–3 years of experience in communications, marketing, corporate communications, or agency environments.
  • Exposure to international or matrix organisations is a plus.

Skills & mindset

  • Strong writing skills and ability to adapt content for different audiences and channels.
  • Well organised, detail oriented and comfortable juggling multiple priorities.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and curious mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment.

Languages

  • Spanish: native or bilingual.
  • English: fluent (written and spoken), essential for daily collaboration within the international organization.
  • Additional languages are a plus.
