Job Purpose/Role

 

•    Strengthen Allianz Direct’s overall resilience posture by supporting the development and continuous improvement of protection and resilience frameworks across the organization.
•    Foster a proactive culture of risk awareness and preparedness, ensuring the organization is equipped to prevent, respond to, and recover from operational disruptions and security-related threats.
•    Serve as a cross-functional partner to embed risk-informed protection and resilience practices into the organization’s core processes and governance structures.

 

 


Key Responsibilities

 


•    Conduct structured risk assessments covering protective security and operational resilience risks impacting critical assets and operations.
•    Support the conduct of operational threat assessments and drive the structured integration of their outcomes across protection and resilience domains, identifying appropriate mitigation, preparedness, and governance improvements.
•    Design and utilize AI-driven tools and automation to improve the efficiency and accuracy of risk assessments, monitoring, and reporting processes.
•    Support the Business Continuity Management lead in maintaining business impact analyses, continuity documentation, and testing activities, providing analytical and coordination support as required.
•    Assist in the development, implementation, and periodic review of protective security measures and risk mitigation strategies.
•    Contribute to continuous improvement of Crisis Management and Emergency Response frameworks, enhancing preparedness and response capabilities and ensuring their alignment with broader protection and continuity arrangements.
•    Conduct training and awareness initiatives related to protective security, crisis management, and emergency response, promoting preparedness and risk awareness across the organization.
•    Support the coordination and documentation of exercises, simulations, and testing activities across business continuity, crisis management, and emergency response domains, contributing to the tracking of remediation actions and improvement measures.
•    Maintain and update risk registers, mitigation plans, and governance documentation across protection and resilience domains.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment between security, risk, operational, and continuity strategies.
•    Contribute to monitoring and reporting on the status of protection and resilience initiatives, providing structured input and recommendations for enhancements where needed.
•    Stay informed of emerging technologies, including AI and automation, as well as industry best practices, emerging threats, and regulatory developments relevant to operational resilience and protective security.

 


Qualifications

 

•    Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Security Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
•    Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, operational resilience, protective security, or related discipline.
•    Experience conducting structured risk assessments and supporting mitigation planning.
•    Exposure to business continuity processes (e.g., business impact analysis, continuity planning, testing).
•    Familiarity with crisis management and emergency response governance frameworks.
•    Knowledge of protective security principles and risk-based control design within a structured governance environment is preferred.
•    Experience working in an international and highly regulated environment, ideally within the financial services sector.
•    Familiarity with AI and automation tools for risk management, monitoring, and reporting.
•    Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks and develop effective mitigation strategies.
•    Proficiency in professional business communication in English.
•    Strong interpersonal skills, capable of working collaboratively across departments, stakeholders of different seniority, and external partners.
•    Ability to operate effectively in a dynamic environment, manage competing priorities, and proactively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
•    Professional certification in Risk Management, Security, or Business Continuity Management (e.g., ISO 31000, ISO 22301, CBCP, MBCI, or equivalent security certifications) is desirable.
