Business Development Manager

Working within the Spain Sales team, you will play a key role in driving the growth of main lines of business (automotive, home and device protection) by attracting, developing and closing profitable new business opportunities. This role requires a highly autonomous, proactive and results‑driven profile, with a strong focus on new client acquisition, partner development and revenue growth.
You will be responsible for managing and overseeing the end‑to‑end new business lifecycle,from market mapping and prospecting to negotiation, tender management and deal closure, working closely with key internal stakeholders to deliver sustainable and profitable growth.
Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will play a critical role in expanding our footprint within the Insurance / Assistance ecosystem.
What you do

Proactively identify, target and acquire new business opportunities, with a strong focus on hunting new partners and accounts.

Develop and execute a clear new business sales strategy and prospect pipeline, using market insights, data and AI‑supported research to prioritise high‑value opportunities.

Lead negotiations and manage tender and RFP processes end‑to‑end, from opportunity qualification to contract signature.

Build, expand and leverage a strong industry network, particularly within the automotive sector, to generate new leads and partnerships.

Understand partner business models, strategic priorities and market trends, translating them into compelling value propositions and commercial solutions.

Use AI‑enabled tools (e.g. sales copilots, market research assistants, CRM analytics, proposal‑drafting tools) to increase speed, accuracy and impact across prospecting, opportunity analysis and proposal preparation, while applying critical judgement to all outputs.

Coordinate closely with internal teams (operations, product, legal, finance, marketing) to ensure timely decision‑making and successful deal closure.Prepare and deliver senior‑level commercial presentations and business cases, clearly articulating value, differentiation and ROI.

Ensure compliance with internal policies on data privacy, confidentiality and responsible use of AI in all sales and partner interactions.
What you bring
Experience
- University degree with 5+ years of experience in a hunter or new business sales role, demonstrating a consistent track record of winning new clients and closing complex deals.
- Proven experience developing new business and opening new customer segments within the Insurance / Assistance environment.
- Strong and active network within the industry.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.

- Strong hunter mentality: self‑driven, resilient, opportunity‑focused and comfortable operating in ambiguous, target‑driven environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and persuade senior‑level decision‑makers.
- Strong analytical and commercial judgement, supported by the ability to leverage data and AI‑generated insights critically.
- Practical experience using AI‑enabled sales tools for prospecting, market research, opportunity analysis and proposal preparation, with a clear understanding of their limitations.
- High standards of quality, integrity and professionalism, with the confidence to challenge constructively.
- Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken).
