We are looking for a Pricing & Data Intern to join our team and support the Line of Business through data‑driven analysis and pricing activities. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands‑on experience at the intersection of pricing, data analytics and underwriting, working closely with multiple functions in a dynamic, international environment.

 

You will contribute directly to technical and commercial decision‑making by transforming data into insights that support portfolio performance, product innovation and technical excellence.

 

 

What you do

 

As a Pricing & Data Intern, you will provide analytical and pricing support to the business, collaborating with pricing, product and underwriting teams. Your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Carrying out regular and ad‑hoc performance analyses in line with business needs.
  • Conducting frequency and severity analyses for selected accounts.
  • Performing forecasts of technical performance for large accounts and portfolios.
  • Defining data requirements and supporting data collection processes.
  • Identifying key pricing factors for Line of Business products.
  • Developing and updating pricing models across products.
  • Supporting technical excellence during the implementation and use of pricing tools.
  • Working closely with product and underwriting teams on existing portfolios, new business opportunities and future product innovations.
  • AI READINESS Work effectively in an environment shaped by artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning, data analytics and cloud-based tools, using insights responsibly with our standards of data governance, security and ethical use.

 

 

What You Bring

 

Education

  • Currently enrolled in or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Data‑related fields, or a similar quantitative discipline.

 

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Strong affinity for data and numbers, with an Excel‑oriented profile.
  • Backgrounds such as Mathematics, Engineering, Economics or Business with strong analytical focus are welcome.

 

Languages

  • Working knowledge of German (required).
  • Good command of English, mainly for interactions with managers and business partners.

 

Personal Skills

  • Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn technical pricing concepts.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams in an international environment.
