At Allianz Partners, we are accelerating our digital growth ambitions across Europe. To support this journey, we are looking for a Steering Manager Europe to partner closely with the Head of Regional Digital Sales and play a pivotal role in turning strategy into execution.

 

This is a highly visible international position for a strategic and execution-oriented professional who thrives in complex matrix environments. You will act as the operational backbone of the regional digital sales organization, driving alignment across Operating Entities (OEs), coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring the successful delivery of regional growth priorities.

What You Do

 

As Steering Manager Europe, you will ensure that regional growth initiatives are effectively translated into actionable plans, monitored rigorously, and executed consistently across countries and Operating Entities.

 

Cross-Functional Coordination & OE Alignment

  • Serve as the central coordination point between regional leadership, Operating Entities, and local market teams.
  • Foster collaboration across countries and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and consistency in execution.
  • Navigate complex matrix organizations, influencing and gaining buy-in from stakeholders without direct reporting authority.
  • Partner with Country E-commerce Managers to align local priorities, operational frameworks, and project milestones with regional objectives.
    Identify and resolve cross-functional challenges that may impact delivery and business performance.

 

Regional Steering & Governance

  • Establish and maintain governance frameworks to monitor the progress of strategic regional initiatives.
  • Track key deliverables, proactively identify risks, dependencies, and roadblocks, and drive mitigation actions.
  • Monitor operational and commercial KPIs across the regional perimeter, ensuring timely visibility on performance trends.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting mechanisms, and executive updates to support decision-making by regional leadership.
  • Drive a culture of accountability, transparency, and operational excellence across markets.

 

Strategy Execution & Expansion Support

  • Translate strategic priorities into structured execution roadmaps with clear milestones, ownership, and timelines.
  • Support the development of business cases for market, segment, and footprint expansion initiatives.
  • Coordinate inputs from multiple countries and Operating Entities to enable informed strategic decisions.
  • Facilitate collaboration with external digital ecosystems, platforms, aggregators, and strategic partners.
  • Contribute actively to the development and refinement of the regional growth strategy.

 

What You Bring 

 

Experience & Strategic Execution

  • Proven experience in project management, business steering, strategy execution, consulting, digital business, e-commerce, or a related field within an international environment.
  • Demonstrated success in translating strategic objectives into actionable operational plans and measurable outcomes.
  • Strong track record of leading cross-functional initiatives across multiple markets and stakeholders.
  • Experience operating effectively within complex matrix organizations and influencing without direct authority.

 

Stakeholder Management & Operational Excellence

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage and align diverse teams.
  • Strong project governance, planning, prioritization, and execution capabilities.
  • Advanced analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret performance metrics, identify risks, and drive data-informed decisions.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging audiences from local teams to senior leadership.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality delivery standards.

 

Personal Attributes, Education & Languages

  • Collaborative, proactive, and results-driven professional with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments and navigating ambiguity with a solution-oriented approach.
  • Ability to challenge constructively, influence effectively, and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, Marketing, Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Additional European languages are considered a plus.
