Strategy & Steering Analyst - Multinational
Madrid, M, ES, 28043
Let’s care for tomorrow.
Your ambitions. Your dreams. Your tomorrow.
Whether it’s aircraft, international business or offshore wind parks, Allianz Commercial has an extensive range of risks covered when it comes to protecting businesses.
We are looking for a Strategy & Steering Analyst – Multinational to join our team in Madrid, Spain.
Your Team
You will join the Multinational team within Allianz Commercial’s CDO Board Unit — an international, collaborative and high-impact group at the heart of our global Multinational business strategy. Working across countries, functions and cultures, the team partners with senior leadership, cross-functional colleagues and the broader Allianz Multinational network to shape strategic direction, drive performance and turn ambition into clear, well-executed action.
This is a welcoming and supportive team where curiosity, ownership and collaboration matter. You will work closely with the Head of Multinational and the Head of Multinational Strategy, Market & Steering, acting as a trusted analytical partner to both leaders. If you enjoy working in an international environment, solving complex problems and contributing to executive-level topics with real business impact, this is the team for you.
The Impact You Will Have
As Strategy & Steering Analyst for Multinational, you will be the analytical engine behind two of the most senior leaders in the Multinational business. You will build and maintain the competitive intelligence base, prepare executive-level presentations and communications, track the portfolio of strategic initiatives, and deliver ad-hoc analyses and decision-support materials at short notice. Your work will directly inform investment decisions, strategic priorities, and leadership communications — giving you exceptional exposure to the full breadth of the Multinational strategy and a genuine opportunity to shape how the business moves forward.
Responsibilities
-
Build and maintain the competitive and market intelligence base for Multinational, including competitor benchmarking across the full value chain, mapping of competitor capabilities against strategic principles, and tracking relevant industry, regulatory and client trends.
-
Prepare, structure and quality-assure executive-level presentations, briefings and communication materials for internal and external audiences, including content for Board Members, the Global Head of Multinational and strategic steering committees.
-
Maintain a consolidated overview of strategic initiatives across Multinational, tracking milestones, owners, dependencies, risks and KPI performance, and compiling regular status updates and decision papers.
-
Act as a flexible analytical partner to the Head of Multinational and the Head of Strategy, Market & Steering, delivering ad-hoc analyses, research, talking points and decision-support materials at short notice.
-
Anticipate information needs ahead of key meetings and engagements, structure problems quickly, and provide well-founded options and recommendations to support timely decision-making.
-
Support the analysis of strategic options and potential new initiatives by developing business cases, scenarios and comparisons to inform prioritization and sequencing of the Multinational strategic agenda.
-
Liaise across leadership, cross-functional teams and external partners to source information, support alignment and drive follow-through on agreed actions.
-
Help maintain consistent standards and ways of working in the production of analysis, materials and reporting across both leadership mandates.
What You’ll Bring
-
A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Economics, Strategy or a related field would be beneficial.
-
Experience in strategy, business analysis, market intelligence or a related function would be valuable; experience within financial services or insurance is an advantage.
-
Knowledge of multinational programme business and the commercial insurance operating model, or a strong interest in developing this expertise, would help you succeed in the role.
-
Strong skills in market and competitor research, benchmarking and KPI analysis, with the ability to turn complex findings into clear, structured insights and recommendations.
-
Good communication and presentation skills, with experience preparing materials for senior stakeholders or executive audiences.
-
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous topics and develop well-founded recommendations, including under time pressure.
-
A strategic and entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to balance priorities, manage competing demands and maintain a reliable delivery rhythm across different mandates.
-
Openness to integrating AI-driven insights, data analysis and automation tools into your work to optimise outcomes and support broader organisational goals.
-
Fluent English language skills; additional languages are a welcome advantage.
- A willingness to learn and explore how AI can enhance your role and the broader organization is expected.
