Overall Objectives of Job
Manager Operations, would be to act as consultant for various middleware technologies and conduct training and provide expert assistance to projects. SME would also be responsible for project deliveries, which include environment build, application deployment, application patching/release, Automation and release migration activities as part of life cycle. Also in addition, housekeeping & troubleshooting of the issues with respect to infrastructure. Individuals are expected to provide proactive support like performance monitoring, tuning advices, interaction with development team to improve the applications performance/ resolve issues.
Qualification & Experience
Bachelor Degree
Past Experience in Middleware related roles
Skills/Specific Tasks/Activities performed
Technical (e.g. Coding (Java), Testing (Unit))
JBOSS, WebSphere Application Server, WebSphere MQ, IBM App Connect Enterprise, AEM Administration, ForgeRock AM6, Unix Scripting, SSL Management, Docker, Kubernetes, Git
Functional / Domain (e.g. Underwriting, Claims Mgmt.)
Work with the business and development teams to plan, manage and implement various changes in the pre-production Middleware infrastructure.
Business / Client Engagement (e.g. Marketing, Consulting)
Working with Application team to understand their requirement on different j2ee project and set up
- infrastructure based on that.
- Work closely with project managers and technical teams
for planned system upgrades, server roll out and rebuilds application upgrades, changes, releases and other BAU tasks
- Administrative / Compliance (e.g. Documentation, Quality etc.)
Ensure Implementation processes and procedures are developed, implemented and followed for various activities with respect to Middleware infrastructure Projects. - Proper documentation of various implementation procedures for system and application upgrades before handing over the systems to the Operations team.
- A fundamental grasp of AI tools will be an added benefit
