Role Overview: 

As Procurement Manager, you will shape and lead the procurement strategy of Allianz Services Mauritius, ensuring effective sourcing, supplier excellence, governance compliance and operational efficiency. You will manage strategic vendor relationships, deliver cost optimization initiatives and partner with senior leaders to support the organization’s transformation journey while developing a high-performing procurement team. 

 

What You Do:

 

Strategic Procurement Leadership 

  • Define and execute the Procurement strategy for Allianz Services Mauritius in alignment with Global Sourcing & Procurement objectives. 
  • Develop procurement roadmaps supporting business growth, transformation and operational efficiency initiatives. 
  • Identify cost optimization opportunities and contribute to budget and savings targets. 
  • Drive procurement performance through KPIs, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives. 


Source-to-Contract (S2C) Management 

  • Lead strategic sourcing and tendering activities for IT and Non-IT categories. 
  • Ensure competitive sourcing processes and effective supplier selection. 
  • Oversee contract negotiation and contract lifecycle management. 
  • Ensure procurement decisions deliver the right balance of value, quality and risk. 


Procure-to-Pay (P2P) Governance 

  • Ensure effective execution of procurement processes from requisition to payment. 
  • Drive process simplification, automation and digital procurement adoption. 
  • Monitor procurement compliance and purchasing controls. 
  • Improve procurement service levels and stakeholder satisfaction. 


Supplier & Vendor Management 

  • Establish strong relationships with strategic suppliers and service providers. 
  • Conduct supplier performance reviews and business reviews. 
  • Drive supplier innovation, sustainability and risk management initiatives. 
  • Ensure contractual obligations and service-level agreements are monitored and achieved. 


Governance, Risk & Compliance 

  • Ensure compliance with Allianz Group Procurement policies, governance standards and local regulations. 
  • Lead procurement audits and remediation activities when required. 
  • Identify and mitigate procurement-related operational, financial, legal and third-party risks. 
  • Promote ethical procurement and sustainable sourcing practices. 


Stakeholder Management 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on procurement matters. 
  • Collaborate with global procurement category leads and regional procurement teams. 
  • Support strategic projects requiring procurement expertise. 
  • Build strong partnerships across Operations, IT, Finance, Legal, Compliance and Facilities teams. 


Leadership & People Management 

  • Lead, coach and develop the Procurement team. 
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, customer focus and continuous improvement. 
  • Develop procurement capabilities and succession plans. 
  • Champion innovation and digital transformation within the procurement function. 


What You Bring: 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • Professional procurement certification (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, ISM, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Sourcing, or Vendor Management, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience within multinational organizations and/or the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of managing complex sourcing, procurement transformation, and change initiatives.
  • Strong expertise in strategic sourcing, category management, contract negotiation, supplier relationship management, procurement governance, and procurement risk management.
  • Sound financial acumen with the ability to analyze procurement performance, manage budgets, and drive value through data-driven decision-making, reporting, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in digital procurement platforms, preferably SAP Ariba, and a strong understanding of procurement best practices and market trends.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Fluent in English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Demonstrated leadership competencies including strategic thinking, business partnering, customer focus, results orientation, accountability, collaboration and influence, innovation, change leadership, people development, and a strong commitment to integrity and compliance.
