About the role

 

The purpose of the Credit Consultant is to  oversee the reconciliation of Intermediary accounts, manage incoming and outgoing transactions from the General Insurance bank account, and utilise expertise to ensure the prompt collection of payments that may fall outside established Credit Terms.

 

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, with a potential for permanency.

 

Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Accurately processing daily receipts in line with FSRA and company guidelines.
  • Verifying receipt entries and promptly action dishonoured cheques on the same day of Finance notification.
  • Adhering to Group Credit procedures and ensure proper document safekeeping.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service to support AAL profitability and meet service level targets.
  • Processing customer refunds promptly in accordance with service level and ICA agreements.
  • Conducting written and verbal follow-ups with Allianz partners to minimise overdue premiums beyond Credit Terms.

 

 

About you

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Experience in credit/accounts roles, ideally with telephone collections in a matrixed insurance or customer-focused organisation.
  • Strong customer service skills, preferably in fast-paced, high-volume environments.
  • Proven teamwork and collaboration abilities.
  • Skilled in planning, prioritising, and managing competing demands.
  • Capable of making independent and collaborative decisions with accountability.
  • Proficient in systems, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools.
  • Excellent communication skills, balancing empathy with commercial outcomes for AAL.
