About the role

Your focus will be on implementing, executing, and monitoring the risk and compliance framework – ensuring current and emerging risks are effectively identified, assessed, and managed in partnership with the business, including providing dedicated support to our Technical business. The Technical division, is responsible for the product management, underwriting and product governance and pricing functions for all insurance products. (excluding Workers Compensation)

You'll be responsible for:

  • Developing, executing, and monitoring remedial actions to address risk and compliance incidents.
  • Managing operational loss and compliance incidents, ensuring timely resolution and reporting.
  • Preparing detailed reports on risk and compliance performance for internal stakeholders.
  • Implementing the Line 1 control assurance program and maintaining the internal control framework.
  • Acting as a key liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance within policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Promoting a culture of risk awareness and compliance excellence across the organisation.

About you

  • Strong expertise in risk management and compliance frameworks, with proven experience implementing control assurance programs.
  • Extensive background in Audit or Risk & Compliance  within insurance or complex financial services environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage operational loss and compliance incidents, including developing and executing remedial actions.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, delivering actionable insights to drive improvements.
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills, with experience preparing and presenting to senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborative mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements through effective engagement with internal and external audit teams.
  • Experience in Insurance Risks covering Underwriting, Product, Pricing or Reinsurance will be advantageous but not mandatory.
