The primary purpose of this role is to lead, coach, and mentor a central team of administrative staff responsible for supporting our business-wide claims teams. This includes timely coordination of medical appointments and information, along with performing other claims administration functions. This role will also be required to lead the Release of Information Team as well. We are looking for an individual who can work in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about people, demonstrated leadership skills and has a strategic mindset in driving improvement in performance and process.
The position will suit a strong influencer and relationship builder who can work with a range of internal and external stakeholders and enjoy supervising a team to achieve best outcomes.
About the role
- Managing the day-to-day work activity of the team to ensure legislative timeframes and performance targets are met - focus will be on Release of Information team and Eligibility Administration tasks
- Supporting, coaching, and mentoring the team to ensure team and organisational objectives are met
- Managing, coordinating, and motivating your team’s activities that directly contribute to the daily delivery of timeliness, accuracy, and consistency of administration function
- Developing and maintaining communication/relationships with other functional areas of the business
- Overseeing workflow management to ensure business-critical KPIs are achieved
- Audit adherence to compliance and APA management practices for your team
- Being actively involved in the training, coaching, and development of team member
- Developing the experience levels of staff, implementing, & managing change and/or improvements as required and ensuring the future succession of the branch
- Contributing to a broader team culture that enhances staff engagement and commitment to our objective, ensuring inclusion, enjoyment, and fulfilment
About you
- Strong leadership skills, stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to manage and allocate a variety of tasks, in a fast-paced environment
- Highly developed communication and stakeholder relationship skills
- Proven skills in negotiation and confidence in handling customer complaints
- Strong customer service ethics
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape
