The primary purpose of this role is to lead, oversee and coordinate resources to ensure timely processing of all policy registrations, policy maintenance and technical reviews for the Business Unit and enhance operational efficiency through scale of workflow, ensuring timeframes and KPI's are met to deliver customer and regulatory expectations.
About the role
- Lead and coach team members to develop capability, and build a high-performing, collaborative and engaged team
- Oversee new WorkCover policy registrations and maintenance, ensuring data integrity, quality decision-making, and adherence to AAL Service Level Standards, as validated by monthly internal reviews.
- Lead and support Technical Specialists in conducting complex WorkCover Industry Classifications (WIC) and other policy reviews in compliance with legislative processes.
- Foster a proactive culture through peer reviews, feedback, and ensuring reports align with WorkCover legislative standards to achieve compliance targets in WorkSafe Agent Premium Compliance Audits (APCA).
- Demonstrate extensive WorkCover policy knowledge, with over 5 years of experience, and represent Allianz positively as a trusted partner to WorkSafe Victoria on advanced premium matters and legislative updates.
- Ensure tasks are completed within agreed timeframes, maintain awareness of regulatory changes, and apply compliant processes to meet AAL policies, procedures, and guidelines.
About you
- With in-depth technical expertise in Victorian Workers Compensation policy legislation within a Managed Fund context, along with strong understanding of regulatory and legislative compliance requirements
- Experience in empowering individuals and teams, fostering performance, and building talent pipelines to meet current and future organisational needs.
- Demonstrates enthusiasm for delivering high-quality services and positive customer experiences to optimise business value and sustain the customer base.
- Extensive knowledge of WorkCover Industry Classifications (WICs), ability to handle complex reviews with technical justification, and capacity for making independent and collaborative decisions with accountability.
- Proven ability to plan, prioritise, and manage competing demands effectively, coupled with strong proficiency in systems, software, databases, reporting, and communication tools.
