About the role
- Translate strategic priorities into clear, supportive team goals while nurturing a culture of excellence, collaboration, and shared accountability to achieve positive outcomes together.
- Steward operational delivery by ensuring services and processes meet compliance standards, remain within budget, and consistently uphold quality and care.
- Create space for growth through regular one-on-ones, side-by-side coaching, and team conversations, while contributing thoughtfully to broader leadership dialogue.
- Thoughtfully use data and insights to enhance operational effectiveness, guide sound decisions, and champion continuous process and service improvements that uplift productivity.
- Build and sustain trusted stakeholder relationships, listening deeply to feedback, encouraging idea-sharing, and partnering to strengthen business outcomes.
- Safeguard integrity and wellbeing by ensuring compliance with regulatory, legislative, health, safety, and internal obligations, leading with care and responsibility.
- Lead with empathy and inclusion by developing team capability, embracing diverse perspectives, and thoughtfully resolving escalations and concerns to strengthen trust and retention.
About you
- Relevant qualifications and/or industry accreditations, paired with an understanding of contemporary insurance practices and the key drivers shaping customer-focused service delivery.
- Deep experience nurturing people and performance, with a strong ability to recognise potential, support individual and team growth, and build sustainable talent pipelines for the future.
- A demonstrated commitment to championing a customer-centred culture, consistently modelling empathetic, values-led behaviours in everyday interactions.
- Strong analytical capability, with the confidence to gently navigate complex information, draw meaningful insights, and weigh options to inform balanced, well-considered decisions.
- Well-rounded proficiency across technology, systems, processes, and operations, complemented by clear, influential communication skills that connect authentically with stakeholders at all levels.
- A passion for leveraging emerging technologies to stay ahead in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
