We have a new opportunity for a Data Scientist to join the the team of the Chief Protection Officer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage in collaborative efforts with the business teams to comprehend data requirements and develop robust architectures and data models
- Enhance business processes by proficiently managing the lifecycle of data and AI models, from extraction to visualization
- Build and maintain robust data pipelines, transforming raw data into high-quality datasets to serve advanced analytics and dashboarding for business intelligence initiatives
- Maintain and improve existing production processes by identifying and implementing optimized, scalable solutions
- Contribute to Research and Development initiatives to discover and integrate cutting-edge technical solutions that propel the organization forward
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, STEM disciplines, Computer Engineering, Data Engineering or a closely related field.
- 5-7 years working experience in Data Science/Engineering
- Solid experience handling and manipulating large datasets with Big Data frameworks, especially PySpark, or cloud platforms (e.g.Azure, AWS)
- Knowledge in SQL and Oracle databases
- Proficiency in Python and its core data science libraries (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-Learn)
- Knowledge in designing, developing and validating Machine Learning models and statistical algorithms to solve concrete and complex business problems
- Experience using Power BI for advanced reporting (nice to have)
- Fluency in Italian and English, written and spoken
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills (ability to explain complex models to both technical and non-technical audiences)
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to be versatile and actively participate in different projects across the data lifecycle
Pursuant to Article 5(1) of Legislative Decree No. 96 of 7 May 2026, as amended and supplemented from time to time, the range applicable to the position offered is between € 40.000 gross and € 50.000 gross. Employment will be subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the National Collective Labor Agreement for Insurance Companies and the applicable Company Agreement. The final determination of the starting remuneration will be based on an evaluation of the candidate's qualifications, skills, and relevant experience in relation to the requirements of the role.
