Head of Operational Governance

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE
The Head of Operational Governance will be the point of contact for cross-functions topics, directly supervising the units of LOF & TPRM, Outsourcing, Data Privacy and Operational Support. The role requires a strong capacity of interfacing with different functions.
This role is critical to ensuring compliance, operational efficiency, and effective governance across the organization.
KEY RESPONSABILITIES
- Oversee Operational Governance team in their interaction with Procurement and business units, for the creation of purchase orders and checks on existing contracts
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Group policies across all areas of responsibility
- Act as a key liaison with internal and external stakeholders, including the DPO, Group Compliance, Legal, and Sustainability teams
- Oversee the implementation of effective governance frameworks, particularly in the areas of outsourcing, third-party risk management, and ESG
- Drive operational excellence by streamlining processes and ensuring timely delivery of all tasks and reports
- Provide strategic guidance to the team and foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Organize the Allianz Direct S.p.A. Management Committee, including preparing agendas, collecting documentation, recording meeting minutes, and archiving related materials
- Support the Corporate Affairs team in organizing the Board of Directors meetings by preparing agendas and collecting documentation
- Act as the central point of contact for company audits, ensuring compliance with deadlines
- Support governance activities related to ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), coordinating with relevant stakeholders to monitor objectives assigned by the Group, and ensuring accurate reporting.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- Law degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in similar role
- Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably within governance, compliance, or operational management
- Strong knowledge of privacy regulations, outsourcing processes, and third-party risk management frameworks
- Familiarity with ESG principles and reporting requirements
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Basic knowledge of ChatGPT or similar tools
- Fluency in English and Italian is required
