JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

 

The role required is within the Finance Audit Unit Function of Allianz Italy, responsible for verifying the adequacy of the following processes: Investments, Accounting, Tax, Financial planning and control, Corporate actuarial, Risk Management and Actuarial Function.

The poition holder has gained experience (at least 4/5 years) in the field of insurance accounting (local GAAP, IAS/IFRS), risk management processes (Solvency II Pillar 1, 2 and 3) and Investments and is able to: a) identify business risks and key controls; b) generate feasible recommendations for improvement of the internal control framework; c) evaluate the effectiveness of remediations in case of control failures.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The person deals primarily with:

- Managing and executing audit assignments relating to:

  • Accounting: financial closure according to Italian GAAP and International accounting principles (IAS / IFRS)
  • Risk Management: Solvency II framework in Pillar 1 (MVBS, SCR, MCR, Own Funds), Pillar 2 qualitative risk management (ORSA Report) and Pillar 3 regulatory reporting (SFCR), RSR, QRTs)
  • Investments

- Communicating effectively with stakeholder from all hierarchy levels

- Carrying out risk assessment of the processes under coverage of the Finance Audit Unit.​

- Exchanging actively with other Functions (Compliance, Risk Management and Actuarial Function) on risk and control issues

 

In a complementary way the person will also participate in international working groups on financial audit topics (i.e.: designing audit work program, Expert circles, etc.) and in international teams for financial audit assignments.

 

 KEY REQUIREMENTS

 

  • At least 4/5 years of experience in the insurance industry:  External Auditing and/or Advisory; Accounting and/or Investments and/or Risk Management and/or Internal Audit Department of insurance companies.
  • Strong academic background alternatively in Business Administration, Economics, Quantitative Methods
  • Good skills in financial insurance statements, consolidation and IFRS reporting package, accounting administrative processes, Investments
  • Good skills in Risk Management Solvency II 3 pillars
  • Fluent in Italian and in English, both spoken and written
  • Team spirit, high self-motivation, intellectual curiosity, out-of-the box thinking
  • Problem solving and can-do attitude
  • Good analysis and synthesis and data analysis skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Data reporting
