Pricing Actuary/Data Analyst

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE
The candidate would be required to provide support to the Non Motor Actuarial Office across the full spectrum of Pricing analysis.
The individual's key responsibilities are listed below:
- Support the data ingestion and data transformation procedures
- Data exploration, transformation and cleaning procedures
- Structuring data science solutions to achieve a given set of business objectives
- Build and prototype analysis and Machine Learning models and support their implementation and deployment in the systems of the company
- Model customer’s behavior based on market and competitor’s analysis
- Implement and enhance dashboards and business intelligence tools to support risk analysis and portfolio management
- Implementation of Radar Base Projects for Impact Analysis/Scenario Testing
- Implementation of the tariff (both Technical and Commercial), discount, UW rules, renewal process in Radar Live in accordance with technical specification provided by Pricing Actuaries, Product Development and Anti-Fraud people
- Doing Research and Development to find new technical solutions
KEY REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
- PhD or Master’s degree in a quantitative field (i.e. computer science, mathematics, physics, statistics or engineering)
- Minimum two years working experience in a similar role
- Good hands-on knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, SAS or R)
- Experience with Pandas or SQL for data manipulation and analysis
- Familiarity with machine learning techniques like gradient boosting machines and linear models
- Passion and ability for data exploration, analysis and modelling in order to design and develop systems to support strategic business decisions
- Preferably knowledge of the Tower Watson Suite: Emblem, Radar
- Fluent in Italian and English
- Ability to work independently as well as engage and interact with different stakeholders
