We are looking for a Distribution Management team member to join our team in Tokyo.
Your Team
Our team is dedicated to building and managing trusted relationships with clients, agents, and brokers, leading renewal and new business, and delivering tailored risk solutions in the Japanese market.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Regional Head of Distribution Management in Asia and the Head of Distribution Management Division in Japan.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

Build and manage trusted relationships with clients, agents, and brokers

Lead renewal and new business meetings

Build and manage a healthy pipeline across commercial and specialty lines

Collaborate with underwriting, claims, and other teams to deliver exceptional service
What You’ll Bring to the Role
-
Proven experience in underwriting or business development within commercial/specialty insurance.

Robust knowledge across various lines of insurance business and at least one trade sector

Analytical skills from experience in sales, controlling, or similar roles.

Demonstrated success in prospecting and acquiring new clients, including international programs business.

Ability to foster long-term, profitable relationships at various levels within broker and client organizations.

Experience working in complex, global matrix environments

Fluent Japanese language skills (spoken and written)

English communication skills (business-level)

Proficiency in AI skills: The ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making is valuable.
