Legal Intern - Summer 2026

Allianz Technology of America (ATA) is part of the global financial powerhouse Allianz, with over 120,000 employees worldwide. ATA is hiring for a 2026 Legal Intern. As an ATA Legal Intern, you will work with ATA’s in-house lawyers and other professional team members to gain exposure to, and develop an understanding of different substantive areas of the law including contracts, corporate governance, compliance, intellectual property, and employment and gain exposure to a global IT business.

What you do

As an ATA Legal Intern, you will:

• Conduct legal research on important company topics, investigate, help respond to, and manage product issues as they arise with regard to different functions (e.g., procurement, human resources, others)
• Assist with the drafting and negotiation of agreements, filings, corporate consents, employment and policy materials, and other corporate and operational documents
• Work collaboratively to manage tasks and projects Lead 1-2 special projects, including presenting the results to the Head of Legal & Compliance and other leaders
• Work in a position that is integrated into the Legal Department within Allianz Technology of America
• Gain exposure to products, skills, and technologies used across a global IT enterprise  

• Engage in the Allianz Technology community, resource groups, and networking events with leadership
   

What you bring

• Currently a 2L pursuing a Juris Doctorate at an ABA-accredited law school
• Strong communication and writing skills and an ability to distill complex issues into simplified, practical solutions

• Talent for thinking outside of the box in researching legal issues
• Preferred: Experience in the tech industry or previous experience in a corporate legal department
• Commitment to continuous learning and development
• Experience and interest in leveraging AI technologies like Microsoft CoPilot

Locations

• Hybrid 2-3 days/week on-site in Minneapolis, MN 

What we offer

• The hourly pay range for this role is $25-35. The hourly pay rate represents a nationwide market range. The actual hourly pay rate for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role, and the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate.
