What you do:

The Program Management Principal is a highly experienced individual contributor responsible for leading the most complex, high risk, or high visibility programs within a function. This role operates with broad autonomy and is recognized as a subject matter expert in program execution, cross functional leadership, and delivery consistency.

The Program Management Principal partners closely with Directors and senior leaders to translate defined strategies into executable plans, drive alignment across teams, and ensure outcomes are delivered as intended. The Program Management Principal is accountable for making strategy real through disciplined execution, risk management, and stakeholder influence.

The primary focus for this role will be to build out a holistic issue management model capability that integrates signals across functional areas and channels to assess, triage, contain, conduct root cause analysis and drive resolution.  This model will enable proactive issue prevention and support continuous improvement by reducing customer issues and improving trust, operational efficiency and resilience.

Program leadership & execution

  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a holistic issue management capability to proactively detect, assess, address, and prevent issues across all operational areas.
  • Translate strategic direction and priorities set by leadership into detailed execution plans, timelines, and delivery models.
  • Proactively manage interdependencies, constraints, and sequencing across initiatives to ensure delivery commitments are met.
  • Provide hands on program leadership in ambiguous situations where outcomes, scope, or paths forward are not fully defined.
  • Oversee program financials, including budget management, forecasting, and ensuring cost efficiency while aligning with organizational financial goals and compliance standards.

Risk management, governance and problem-solving

  • Identify, assess, and actively manage program level risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Establish robust detection channels by leveraging cross-functional data sharing and centralized analysis to identify potential risks and issues early.
  • Develop and oversee a structured issue triage and resolution framework, including containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and centralized communication and reporting.
  • Apply structured governance practices to ensure visibility, accountability, and informed decision making.
  • Lead issue resolution and escalation by presenting clear options, impacts, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Ensure programs adhere to internal standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management expectations.

Stakeholder engagement and communication

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on issue management processes, resource allocation, and prioritization of critical issues.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, improve operational efficiency, and enhance customer trust through faster resolution and transparent communication.
  • Act as a trusted execution partner to directors, product leaders, technology leaders, and business sponsors.
  • Facilitate alignment across stakeholders with competing priorities by influencing without authority.
  • Develop clear, concise updates and materials for senior leader forums that communicate progress, risks, and decisions needed.
  • Support enterprise or functional planning, prioritization, and review cycles through strong coordination and follow through.
  • Utilization of artificial intelligence tools and resources (e.g. generative AI)

What you bring:

  • 7+ years of experience required in program management, project management, or operations support
  • Demonstrated success leading large, cross-functional initiatives with significant complexity
