Job Purpose:

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced commerce graduate/postgraduate with a financial background to join our team as a Front-Line Manager for the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process. The role encompasses Invoice Processing, Payments, Vendor Management, Travel & Expense (T&E) handling, Query Resolution, Team Management, Business Unit (BU) Interaction, and Problem-Solving responsibilities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Process Ownership:

    • Report to the Pillar Head and take full ownership of P2P tasks.
    • Ensure smooth and error-free month-end closing activities.

  2. Team Management:

    • Manage a team of 12–18 Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs).
    • Be accountable for achieving defined SLAs/KPIs.
    • Conduct weekly and monthly performance and process health reviews with the team and Business Units.

  3. Operational Expertise:

    • Oversee Invoice Processing and Payments for all vendors.
    • Manage T&E reimbursement processes for internal employees.
    • Perform vendor management tasks, including setup, maintenance, and screening.
    • Conduct audits for assigned tasks within the team.
    • Reconcile vendor accounts by verifying monthly statements and related transactions.

  4. Financial & Accounting Knowledge:

    • Prepare and post journals related to Accounts Payable and Bank Transfers.
    • Monitor discount opportunities and resolve discrepancies in purchase orders, contracts, invoices, or payments.
    • Ensure compliance with Indian Accounting standards, GST, and FX accounting.

  5. Process Improvement:

    • Identify and implement process improvements and standardization initiatives.
    • Actively contribute to the design and execution of process enhancement projects.

  6. Stakeholder Management:

    • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all stakeholders.

  7. Reporting & Analysis:

    • Prepare monthly reports related to Accounts Payable deliverables.
    • Analyze performance metrics and provide actionable insights.

  8. Ad-Hoc Responsibilities:

    • Handle additional tasks and responsibilities as required.

Key Requirements:

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Commerce Graduate/MBA or Inter-CA/CMA.
  • 2–5+ years of experience in team handling and P2P processes.

System Skills:

  • Proficiency in Intermediate or Advanced Excel.
  • Experience with general ledger systems.

Initiative & Problem-Solving:

  • Ability to take initiative and deliver quality results under competing deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently while fostering teamwork.

Team Management:

  • Proven ability to mentor and support team members in their tasks.

Communication & Customer Service:

  • Strong listening, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Other Skills:

  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and ability to assess issues.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset to review and understand work outcomes.

Language Skills:

  • Proficiency in English.
  • Additional language skills (French/German/Italian/Spanish) are an advantage.
