Governance Accounting Expert - Manager/Senior Manager

Job Purpose/Role:

You will be responsible for the financial governance of the legal entities under their scope. This role ensures the quality, accuracy, and compliance of financial reporting with internal and external regulations and guidelines. The manager will also act as a key point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, tax authorities, regulators, and auditors.

The role requires a senior financial expert with strong analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and a collaborative mindset to work in a global environment. The individual will also play a critical role in mitigating risks under tax and accounting principles while driving compliance and governance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Compliance:
  
  

  • Ensure timely and accurate periodic financial reporting (monthly, quarterly, yearly) in compliance with group deadlines, accounting standards, tax, and legal requirements.
  • Ensure consistency in accounting methods and adherence to internal corporate and finance rules.
    
    

• Financial Analysis & Monitoring:
  
  

  • Monitor balance sheet accounts and ensure proper reconciliation for reliable financial statements.
  • Periodically review profit and loss accounts to ensure accurate bookkeeping and assess the profitability of legal entities.
  • Support Finance Factory in ensuring timely and accurate tax submissions, escalating risks and coordinating mitigation actions as needed.
    
    

• Audit Coordination & Governance:
  
  

  • Coordinate external audits, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of inputs.
  • Support internal audits, ensure timely closure of findings, and develop controls to enhance governance and mitigate risks.
    
    

• Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
  
  

  • Foster communication and collaboration with teams, particularly with Finance Factory, to ensure smooth task performance and issue resolution.
  • Act as a key point of contact for financial matters with internal and external stakeholders.
    
    

• Transformation & Initiatives:
  
  

  • Support the implementation of Group initiatives at the legal entity level.
  • Drive local transformation projects in alignment with the company’s strategy.
    
    

Key Requirements:

Experience

• Total Years of Experience: Minimum 8+ years in accounting, regulatory finance, or a similar field.
• Relevant Experience: Financial reporting, regulatory compliance, audit coordination, and governance.
• Team Management: Individual contributor with strong collaboration skills, particularly with Finance Factory and Accounting & Regulatory teams.

• Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
• Preferred Education: Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is highly desirable.

Additional Information
