Job Details / Role Purpose:
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely invoicing of services provided to Business Partners, ensuring effective collection of outstanding receivables and management of commission settlement activities.
The role serves as a key interface between Finance and Business Partners, ensuring data accuracy, transparency, operational excellence, and the smooth execution of end-to-end Accounts Receivable processes. The successful candidate will contribute to continuous process improvements while supporting Allianz Partners' digital transformation and AI adoption initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence & Stakeholder Management
- Work within a team structure to achieve key performance indicators, departmental objectives, and service level agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Act as a trusted Finance partner by providing timely support and issue resolution.
- Handle ad-hoc duties and support operational projects as required.
- Demonstrate a proactive approach to process improvements and operational efficiency.
- Promote compliance with company policies, controls, and service standards.
Invoicing
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with Business Partners regarding invoicing matters.
- Prepare billing data and generate invoices in accordance with contractual agreements and service level requirements.
- Process and issue invoices accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Handle invoicing-related queries from Business Partners and internal stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate invoicing records and ensure data integrity.
Collections & Cash Allocation
- Perform cash allocation and reconciliation of incoming payments against open invoices.
- Monitor outstanding receivables and proactively manage collection activities.
- Follow up with Business Partners regarding overdue payments and outstanding balances.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely receipt and allocation of payments.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies efficiently.
Commission Administration
- Calculate and process commissions for Business Partners and brokers in accordance with contractual agreements.
- Prepare commission-related reports and statements.
- Investigate, track, and resolve commission-related queries.
- Monitor commission payments to ensure accuracy and timely settlement.
Rebilling & Cost Allocation
- Process rebilling activities, including General Expenses (GE), Administrative Costs (ACDI), Quota Share arrangements, and other recharge mechanisms.
- Ensure transparency and accuracy of recharge calculations and allocations.
- Support reconciliation and validation of recharged amounts.
- Maintain appropriate documentation and audit trails for rebilling transactions.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and customer experience.
- Contribute to process standardization, automation, and efficiency initiatives.
- Support finance transformation projects and operational excellence programs.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven decision-making and best practices.
AI Readiness & Digital Enablement
- Utilize AI-enabled tools and digital technologies to improve productivity, accuracy, and efficiency across Finance operations.
- Leverage data analytics and automation capabilities to identify trends, exceptions, and opportunities for optimization.
- Support intelligent automation initiatives within Accounts Receivable processes, including invoicing, collections, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Ensure high standards of data quality and governance to support AI-powered insights and decision-making.
- Demonstrate adaptability and openness to emerging technologies and new ways of working.
- Promote a culture of innovation, continuous learning, and digital adoption across the organization.
Profile Key Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Part-qualified or fully qualified accounting certification is advantageous.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Accounts Receivable, Invoicing, Collection Management, Finance Operations, or Shared Services environments.
- Previous experience within the insurance industry is preferred.
- Experience working in a multinational organization or Shared Service Centre environment is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
System Skills
- Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, or similar ledger management systems.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with digital finance tools and reporting systems.
- Exposure to AI-enabled productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Power BI, Power Automate, or similar solutions is advantageous.
