Job details / role purpose:

 

Perform general ledger accounting as well as Financial reporting in accordance with the process documentation and standard AWP procedures. The activities and responsibilities in the role consist of processing Journal vouchers, Knows SAP and Black line, Know closing and reporting process, reconciliation of B/S accounts, period end closing, Financial and Management reporting and more.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  •      Preparation and posting of journals associated with finalizing the monthly result for all lines of business
  •      Preparation and understanding of various monthly sales, cost and claims reconciliations.
  •      Preparation and understanding of unearned revenue, fair understanding of reserving, prepaid etc.
  •      Understanding of invoicing, credit notes, commission and client cost rebills and IC cost.
  •      Preparation & Review of balance sheet reconciliations.
  •      Assist with the accurate and timely completion of the monthly management pack and associated responsibilities
  •      Provide active input into the design and implementation of process improvement initiatives
  •      Work within a team structure in achieving key performance indicators and objectives and be highly focused on the achievement of these objectives
  •      Develop and maintain professional relationships with appropriate internal and external stakeholders along with people management
  •      Other adhoc tasks and responsibilities as the need arises.

 

Key responsibilities:

 

  • Qualified/Semi Qualified CA/CWA 
  • Previous insurance experience is preferable
  • French Language with accounting is preferable.
  • SAP, Black line
  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills
  • Previous experience using a general ledger system and SAP is preferable
  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to support and mentor other team members in the task undertaken
  • Provide exceptional customer service to be internal and external stakeholders.
