Role Purpose: 


Senior Project Manager is responsible for delivering Finance Factory projects focused on organizational transformation, new/improved IT solutions, process improvement, and change management. This role requires a strong project management background, with a solid understanding of finance, treasury, banking, and reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Initiation:

  • Conduct research and analysis to identify organizational and process improvement opportunities.
  • Define projects by outlining business needs, project benefits, and stakeholders; design project charters and business cases.
  • Obtain project approvals and communicate effectively with stakeholders to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.

Project Set-up and Planning:

  • Plan and schedule projects, including cost estimation and scope control responsibilities.
  • Identify necessary resources and assign individual responsibilities.
  • Develop a roadmap for the team, organize the team, and set goals.
  • Review project benefits to support business-case process improvement.

Project Execution:

 

  • Launch projects with dedicated kick-offs and assign resources.
  • Manage the project team, fostering motivation, collaboration, and performance.
  • Execute project management plans, ensure task assignments are completed, and organize status meetings.
  • Lead project team meetings effectively, communicate action plans and outcomes, and coordinate all project tasks and interdependencies.
  • Modify project plans and update project schedules as needed.
  • Develop and maintain all project documentation and ensure proper storage in line with internal control requirements.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.

Project Steering:

  • Set up tracking systems and monitor project metrics.
  • Continually identify, prioritize, and mitigate project risks.
  • Track actual expenses against the project budget.
  • Define, track, and report results of project milestones and success metrics through weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Report project status to stakeholders, including related risks and mitigation actions.

Project Closure:


  • Conduct post-mortem meetings to evaluate successes and failures.
  • Create a project punch list of incomplete tasks and work with team members to complete them.
  • Perform final project budget analysis and create final project reports.
  • Collect all project deliverables and documents and store them in a centralized location.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multi-tasking abilities.
  • Ability to innovate and seek advances in technology and practices, including AI-driven project management tools.
  • Capability to support and mentor other team members.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate with a finance background.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project handling/management.
  • Experience with treasury tools preferred; familiarity with such tools is an added advantage.

  • Process Automation: Utilize automation technologies to streamline project management tasks and workflows, enhancing efficiency.
  • Data Processing: Employ advanced data processing techniques to handle and analyze project-related data, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Predictive Analytics: Leverage predictive analytics to forecast project outcomes and manage risks effectively.


Consider incorporating skills related to AI-driven project management tools for enhanced tracking and reporting capabilities, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) to automate routine tasks and improve project efficiency.
