About the role
The purpose of this role is to lead the Core PAS, Finance, HR & Compliance Centre of Excellence, ensuring the delivery, performance and continual improvement of critical technology services across Allianz Australia. This role is accountable for service strategy, operational excellence, stakeholder engagement, financial management and governance across legacy Policy Administration, Finance, HR and Compliance platforms. Working closely with business and technology stakeholders, the CoE Lead drives innovation, manages technology risk and technical debt, and ensures secure, reliable and scalable solutions that support Allianz's strategic objectives.
Key Accountabilities:
- Lead the delivery, performance and continuous improvement of Core PAS, Finance, HR and Compliance technology services, ensuring high-quality outcomes for customers and stakeholders.
- Define and execute the CoE strategy and roadmap, aligning priorities, resources and delivery plans with business objectives and technology goals.
- Own service performance, financial management and governance across the CoE, ensuring services remain secure, scalable and reliable.
- Provide technical leadership and expert guidance, driving technology decisions, innovation and best practice adoption across Allianz Technology.
- Foster collaboration across Tribes, Squads and business stakeholders, managing dependencies, resolving impediments and enabling successful delivery outcomes.
- Champion Agile ways of working, coaching teams and promoting a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and technical excellence.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise standards, information security requirements, risk controls and regulatory obligations while managing technology risk and technical debt.
About you
To be successful in the role, you will need:
- Demonstrated experience leading large, multidisciplinary technology teams, with responsibility for multiple concurrent projects, services and strategic initiatives within general insurance is highly regarded.
- Experience leading highly performing teams is essential. Strong vendor management experience, with the ability to effectively manage outsourced supplier relationships, is preferred.
- Strong technical and business acumen, with the ability to define technology strategy and drive outcomes aligned to business objectives.
- Proven insurance industry experience is a must, with knowledge of policy administration systems, regulatory requirements and customer-focused service delivery.
- Strong project, portfolio and service delivery management expertise, with experience managing complex technology environments and competing priorities.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and leadership capabilities, with experience leading Agile teams, driving change and fostering high-performing cultures.
