Reporting Line: Head of XoL (Portfolio Management or New Business)

 

The Underwriting Support Partner supports the end-to-end administration of Excess of Loss (XoL) new business and renewals, ensuring accurate data management, underwriting support, policy implementation, and efficient coordination across internal stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

 

  • Establish and maintain electronic case files and documentation for all renewal and new business opportunities.
  • Initiate and manage new business set-up in the system - Compass or Pluriform during the transition period).
  • Coordinate and manage Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements in compliance with internal policies.
  • Prepare and maintain renewal pricing models in Excel, including updating expiring coverage, requested renewal terms, and prior-year underwriting rationale for comparative analysis.
  • Conduct preliminary reviews of buyer information within IRP to identify cases requiring updated financial information and update pricing models accordingly.
  • Create and manage pre-check Credit Limit Requests (CLRs) for renewal and new business export buyers, ensuring timely follow-up with assigned underwriters.
  • Prepare and submit recommended renewal and new business CLRs within IRP, including proposed limit amounts, supporting financial information, effective dates, and internal/external comments for underwriter review and approval.
  • Remove obsolete, unapproved, or unnecessary CLRs related to renewal and new business transactions.
  • Complete and maintain final Risk-Based Pricing (RBP) documentation based on issued binders.
  • Coordinate and manage the policy issuance process in partnership with the Policy Implementation team.
  • Ensure completion of renewal and new business checklists and upload all required documentation to Compass.
  • Manage operational and system-related requests, including finance ticket resolution, buyer creation and maintenance, and assignment of buyers to the appropriate Group Hierarchy (GH).
  • Process and maintain policy mid-term adjustments within Compass.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity across all relevant systems and documentation.

Required Qualifications and Skills

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Economics, or a related field preferred.
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience in credit insurance, finance, banking, credit management, or a similar environment.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data management systems.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Positive attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Total compensation range:

$75,000 - $90,000

 

Placement within the range provided above is based on the individual’s relevant experience, skills for the role, and location. Salary ranges are only one component of our total compensation package.
