Intern Assistant Corporate Research Analyst (f/m/d) - Limited to 6 months

We are looking for a motivated student to join our Global Credit Research team as a Corporate Research Analyst for a six-month internship starting in September 2026.

The Global Credit Research team underpins the firm's global investment process and value proposition as an active manager. Within the team, the successful candidate will work with the Director of Corporate Research EU across various non-financial sectors and support her in producing high-quality research for the global Fixed Income platform.

Specifically, the intern will help cover non-financial issuers across a range of sectors by listening to earnings calls, participating in one-on-one meetings, and engaging with issuers on ESG-related topics. The role also includes updating AllianzGI's proprietary models based on financial reports and projections over a five-year horizon.

The intern will also contribute to the continuous enhancement and improvement of the team's tools. This position will provide an opportunity to develop strong expertise in fundamental and extra-financial analysis, rating agency methodologies, risk monitoring, and relative value analysis.

The successful candidate will join the Credit Research team in Paris (Richelieu-Drouot).

What you will do

Financial Analysis:

• Monitor economic and corporate news flow
• Update financial models and credit metrics
• Draft financial analysis comments and reports
• Prepare sector presentations
• Review the consistency of model inputs and outputs

Tools Maintenance:

• Risk monitoring
• Assist with relative value analysis
• Handle ad hoc requests and projects

What you bring

• Excellent understanding of financial reporting, combined with strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Proficiency with AI tools and the Bloomberg Terminal
• Python programming skills would be an advantage
