The Economic Research Team of Allianz Trade, a team of experienced economists analyses sectors and country risks to deliver global insight for decision-makers, is recruiting a public affairs intern

 

About the Role and Responsibilitie

 

The Public Affairs intern will operate within the Allianz Trade Economic Research team, under the supervision of the Public Affairs manager.

The missions of the Public Affairs intern include:

  • Monitoring the governmental, political and policy environment for credit insurance, bonding and B2B trade worldwide, with a focus on Europe and the US to inform Allianz Trade stakeholders.
  • Identifying key political and policy changes impacting major client sectors for both economic   research team and the Public Affairs manager.
  • Supporting the Public Affairs manager in building Allianz Trade’s outreach and advocacy.
  • Supporting the research team in building political scenarios.
  • Raising awareness of credit insurance as an enabler of growth in collaboration with the Public Affairs manager.
  • Promote partnerships with other organizations (e.g., trade associations, public banks) in the sector at the national and international level.
  • Supporting the Public Affairs Manager in drafting a quarterly regulatory briefing.
  • Drafting speaking points to various stakeholders.
  • Maintaining and updating an internal public affairs directory.

 

Position reports to the Public Affairs Manager.

 

About the Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor or Masters in political science, public affairs, or any relevant topics.
  • Willingness to learn about trade credit insurance.
  • Understanding of European financial services legislation and decision making process.
  • Ability to quickly absorb and synthetise complex information.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear and convincing way in an international and fast-moving work environment.
  • Excellent analytical and writing skills.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong team spirit and inter-personal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentational.
  • Excellent command in English; German or French would be a plus
