We are looking for a Senior Claims and Underwriting Analyst to take up a newly created role in our Paris offices at la Défense.
Your Team
This new position is at the crossroads between Claims and Specialty Underwriting, at a regional level (France and South Africa). If you have a first solid experience in Claims, this is a unique opportunity to gain broader and more strategic insights into how data analysis shapes key business decisions, and to take on responsibility for Delegated Authority management.
The Impact You Will Have
Reporting to the Regional Head of Claims for the France & South Africa Region, you will manage regular reporting, claims data analysis and prepare presentations in order to support management in making operational and strategic decisions. You will take part in cross-LOB (line of business) Claims projects and some administrative tasks for the Regional Head.
You will also collaborate closely with the Head of Specialty and the Specialty Underwriters in France, managing complex delegated arrangements and playing a pivotal role in audits.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:
Claims:

Manage and analyze Claims data and reports, ensuring consistency and quality across the region, in line with global standards.

Extract and analyze claims statistics, loss runs and trend reports to support strategic decision-making.

Serve as the point of contact for Claims data, collaborating with various functions to ensure alignment and answer queries.

Support vendor management.

Draft presentations for leadership meetings and engage in ad-hoc tasks to support strategic analysis.

Coordinate with the Global Performance Steering team, to maintain data consistency and escalate issues as needed
Underwriting:

Manage Delegated Authority agreements with Underwriters, including onboarding and oversight.

Support the audit process, ensuring delegated arrangements meet required standards.

Prepare governance reports for stakeholders, providing insights on binder performance and KPIs.

Review and track delegated arrangements from application to renewal for seamless processing.

Implement process improvements for efficient oversight of delegated agreements.

Act as a key contact, providing guidance on delegated authority matters
What You’ll Bring to the Role
With a first solid experience in Corporate and/or Specialty Insurance Claims, you bring a solid understanding of claims processes in Allianz Commercial lines of business.

Fluent in French (native level), with an excellent level of English, you communicate with confidence and clarity.

Competence in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint. An understanding of artificial intelligence (AI) and its potential applications in business.

You work autonomously, are highly organized and able to prioritize tasks.

Initiative-driven, able to suggest improvements to processes and systems.
