About the Role:
The Senior Project Manager Building Technology & Cyber Security holds end-to-end accountability for complex commercial and mixed-use programs / projects across Europe, with a strong focus on integrating innovation, building technology and cybersecurity requirements into project delivery.
The role combines strong technical expertise, strategic judgment and advanced stakeholder management to deliver projects with high valueadd, significant CAPEX and increased execution complexity, while ensuring smart building systems, proptech solutions and IoT-related technologies are deployed with appropriate cybersecurity controls.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, and under the overall governance framework of the Team Head Building Technology, the Senior Project Manager acts as the primary owner of assigned projects, representing our interests towards investors, partners and internal stakeholders throughout the full project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold end-to-end responsibility for assigned building technology and cybersecurity projects, from early assessment and concept definition through design coordination, implementation, testing and handover.
- Prepare and present project-level building technology, smart building and cybersecurity strategies, scopes and scenarios to relevant internal and external stakeholders.
- Lead the technical definition of smart building, OT/IT and cybersecurity requirements at project level, aligning system architecture, investor objectives, operational needs and tenant expectations.
- Steer technical due diligence, design development, cybersecurity assessments and approval workflows for building systems, connected devices and digital infrastructure.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to establish contracts and scopes with planners, system integrators, cybersecurity consultants, managed service providers and other technical vendors.
- Lead and coordinate execution of smart building and cybersecurity workstreams, ensuring integration, commissioning, documentation and delivery in line with timelines, budgets, performance targets and security standards.
- Prepare and contribute to governance and investor decision materials related to technology scope, cyber risk, budget assumptions, implementation strategy and expected operational value.
- Manage delivery by external technical service providers and integrators, including selection, negotiation, onboarding and performance steering throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify technical, operational and cybersecurity risks affecting connected building systems and define mitigation plans to support resilient project delivery and secure operations.
- Ensures full operation of the projects on the Data Asset Management plaform
- Ensure high-quality technical documentation, reporting, test records and executive presentations for internal stakeholders, investors and operational teams.
- Support internal stakeholders by defining realistic CAPEX assumptions, implementation sequencing and operating model considerations for building technology and cybersecurity investments.
- Advise project and asset teams on occupier-facing technologies, digital services and operational features that strengthen asset positioning and long-term performance.
- Integrate sustainability goals, ensuring project alignment with the overall strategy (CRREM, taxonomy, certifications, EPCs) and oversee implementation of smart building technologies, digital solutions and cybersecurity measures, including secure integration of connected building systems and IoT-enabled platforms.
- Utilize SAP for financial management of operations, ensuring accurate and efficient financial tracking and reporting.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience managing complex building technology, smart building or cybersecurity projects in multi-stakeholder real estate, technical or OT/IT environments.
- Strong understanding of smart building systems, building management systems, connected devices, technical integration and cybersecurity requirements for commercial real estate assets.
- Experience supporting business cases, budget assumptions and vendor or implementation decisions for building technology and cybersecurity scopes.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills, with the ability to manage technical scopes, vendor interfaces and contract discussions in complex delivery environments.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple technical stakeholders and remain effective in fast-paced environments.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools; familiarity with technical documentation, project controls and presentation materials for governance is expected.
- Fluent in English and French or German (technical, commercial, and financial communication)
- Experience with SAP or similar tools for financial tracking, CAPEX control and project reporting is a plus.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Building Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Architecture or a related technical field.
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in building technology, smart buildings, technical project delivery, cybersecurity integration, OT/IT environments or related real estate technology roles.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements into practical delivery actions for business, operational and project stakeholders.
