We are looking for a Natural Resources Underwriter based in Paris for a 6-month contract to cover maternity leave.

Your Team
Allianz Commercial has a long-standing tradition of supporting the natural resources industry. Our team has many years of practical experience in leading the largest natural resources projects across the globe.
The Impact You Will Have
Within the Natural Resources Underwriting Department of Allianz Commercial France, you will work as an Underwriter of Natural Resources insurance solutions. Based in Paris, your clients will be large broker firms and major players in the French/Middle East engineering segment.
Your role will be to develop, negotiate, and underwrite insurance programs and project policies for major international clients. You will ensure the development and profitability of your portfolio and the follow-up of broker and client relationships in close coordination with the sales teams, engineering services, claims, and operations departments.
Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

Underwrite new and renewal accounts to meet financial targets.

Negotiate terms, pricing, and participation with brokers.

Adhere to Natural Resources governance framework and ensure contract certainty.

Create and maintain positive relationships with key producers clients and other relevant stakeholders.

Ensure accurate policy documentation and file maintenance.

Support business acquisition and retention efforts, including client and broker negotiations.
What You’ll Bring to the Role

Proven track record in profitable business underwriting within the line of Business (LoB).

Demonstrated relationships with brokers at peer group level.

Robust understanding of LoB products and portfolio.

Familiarity with regional and local LoB insurance markets and competitors.

Knowledgeable about legal and regulatory frameworks.

Strong communication skills in English. Fluent French skills are a plus.

Experience navigating complex, global matrix organisations.

Ability to utilize AI tools to support day-to-day tasks, improve efficiency, and contribute to data-driven decision-making.
