About the role


The purpose of the Senior Client Relationship Manager is to manage a portfolio of large, complex corporate clients in Workers Compensation, focusing on retention, client objectives, service excellence, and fostering new business opportunities to drive divisional growth.

 

You will be responsible for:

 

  • Developing and implementing complex Client Strategy Plans and tailored Customer Value Propositions to achieve retention targets and deliver measurable value.
  • Collaborating with customers to understand needs, analyse performance data, identify trends, and propose strategies to improve outcomes for clients and brokers.
  • Driving additional business growth from existing portfolios and market relationships, aligning with budget targets while managing personal income and expense budgets.
  • Serving as the primary contact for customers, ensuring optimal service delivery and contributing to clients’ strategic business planning at senior and executive levels.
  • Engaging regularly with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain Client Management Plans for shared clients.
  • Designing and executing account retention and defence strategies, ensuring smooth onboarding and transitioning of new clients.
  • Utilising strategic selling, negotiation skills, and underwritten pricing discussions to achieve favourable outcomes, while staying informed on legislative changes and market trends to guide clients effectively.

 

About you

 

To be successful in this role, you will have:

 

  • Experience managing customer accounts or professional consulting.
  • Expertise in workers compensation, risk management, WH&S, or claims/underwriting, with solid knowledge of insurance and legislation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, delivering clear and impactful messages to all audience levels.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain senior-level relationships, enhancing industry positioning and outcomes.
  • Market awareness to identify, pursue, and secure business opportunities aligned with customer needs.
  • Engaging and impactful presentation skills tailored to diverse audiences.
