Senior Product Owner – Dynatrace, Capacity Management & FinOps
Position Overview
- We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Owner to lead and drive the strategic direction of our Dynatrace observability platform, Capacity Management practices, and cross-functional topics including FinOps.
- This role combines deep technical expertise with product ownership skills to deliver value across infrastructure monitoring, performance optimization, and cloud financial management.
Key Responsibilities
Dynatrace Product Ownership
- Define and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for the Dynatrace observability platform
- Drive adoption and maturity of Dynatrace across the organization, ensuring maximum value realization
- Collaborate with engineering teams to prioritize features, integrations, and platform enhancements
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate platform capabilities, updates, and strategic direction
- Ensure alignment of Dynatrace capabilities with enterprise monitoring and observability standards
- Oversee license management, usage optimization, and vendor relationship
Capacity Management
- Own the Capacity Management product/service, ensuring proactive planning and optimization of IT infrastructure resources
- Define capacity planning processes, tools, and reporting frameworks
- Drive automation of capacity forecasting and rightsizing recommendations
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and application teams to ensure adequate resource provisioning
- Establish KPIs and dashboards for capacity utilization, trends, and forecasting accuracy
Cross-Topics: FinOps & Cost Optimization
- Drive FinOps practices to optimize cloud and infrastructure spending
- Establish cost transparency, allocation models, and show back/chargeback mechanisms
- Collaborate with finance, engineering, and business stakeholders to balance cost efficiency with performance
- Identify and implement cost optimization opportunities across hybrid and multi-cloud environments
- Promote a culture of cost awareness and accountability across technology teams
Requirements
Must-Have
- Min.3-year experience in Product Owner / Product Management roles within IT infrastructure or platform teams
- Understanding of Dynatrace/ monitoring solutions of Market
- Proven experience in Capacity Management – planning, forecasting, and optimization of compute, storage, and network resources
- Knowledge of FinOps principles and cloud cost management practices
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with strong backlog management skills
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills across technical and business audiences
- Basic Understanding of hybrid/multi-cloud environments (e.g., VMware, Azure, AWS)
- Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or related field
- Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent Agile certification preferred
- ITIL Foundation or higher certification is a plus
Reporting & Collaboration
- Works direct with the Tribe lead of Platform Services / IT Operations
- Collaborates with: Infrastructure Engineering, Cloud Platform Teams, Finance/Controlling, Application Development, Enterprise Architecture, Vendor Management
